Down the Thames to Greenwich - Graeme's Photos
http://www.photos.churchard.com/Website/Down-the-Thames-to-Greenwich
Down the Thames to Greenwich. We were visiting London in March 2014 to see our son and decided that, as it was lovely day, we would take a boat trip to Greenwich. We did not regret this - it was a great way to see well known and forgotten parts of London from an unusual angle. The extract from Google Earth shows our route and various places of interest. Embankment Wharf, where we started, with Charing Cross Station behind. Heading downstream in the spring sunshine. Blackfriars Road Bridge with the. Tower...

Excursions

And Bristol has many places to look at rocks AND. Many different rocks to look at! Indeed the first (1912) excursion guide to the Bristol District (by S. H. Reynolds, the third professor of geology at the university) said Owing to the remarkably varied character of its rocks, the Bristol district seems specially marked out for a geological handbook. Reynolds' guide was superseded, in 1977, by Geological Excursions in the Bristol District edited by Professor R. J. G. Savage (ISBN 0 901239 22 4). Then Redu...

USA 2014
http://bristolgeology.com/usa-2014.html
The following links lead you to PDF files embedded in rather wide web pages. They are quite large files so may take a little while to appear. The files are derived from a project I did to produce a printed book of our trip. For this I used Adobe InDesign. The results were very satisfactory but rather expensive. But, I must admit, looking at a real illustrated book beats looking at a web page! Phoenix to Winslow, via Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon. North Rim to Las Vegas, via Bryce and Zion.
