How to create a basic photo collage. 1 Open two new photograph documents. They should be the same Image Mode (such as: both RGB color) and the same resolution. 2 Use the Move tool and place it on top of one of the photos and click down, hold and drag until you reach the next photo. (If you hold down the Shift key it will center the positioning of the photo). 4 Go to the Layers menu and select Add Layer Mask. Return to Information page.

Adjusting Tones and Contrast with Levels. Work with a Layer Adjustment. Choose Layer New Adjustment Layer Levels. Use the black and then the white point eyedroppers to set the darkest and lightest areas of the image. Drag the gray slider for final adjustment. If the image contains a neutral gray area, use the Gray Point eyedropper to help correct color cast. Experiment with changing the Layer Blending Mode to Luminosity to help bring color back after correcting contrast with a Levels Layer Adjustment.

Tools Not Working Right. Go to the far upper left of the Option Bar and next to the current tool icon is a drop-down menu. On a Mac hold down the Control key (Windows you may need to Right-click or hold down the Control key) and click on the drop-down menu to access Reset All Tools. This will retune your tools to the factory default. Return to Information page.
