The Varden Family: September 2010
http://vardenfamily.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 12, 2010. Our Baby Can Read! We have been borrowing the "Your Baby can Read" DVDs from a friend of ours and its working! She was saying a few of the words on the screen before they said them, even doing some motions for the words before asked to do so (ex- shaking her head when the word "no" came up on the screen). Our baby girl is so smart! We actually got to see Cory's plane land and when I told her that it was daddy's plane- she squealed and started saying "daddy, daddy" over and ove...

http://vardenfamily.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 31, 2011. And Baby Makes 4! My wife called me all the way in India to tell me she's pregnant! So, my family found out then as well. :) Mackenzie made a card for Cory's parent's that we delivered to them on the Friday after Cory got home from his trip. She colored on it and traced her hands all over the card that read "They thought this family could use another member, So they tell me I'm going to be a big sister in November! His family was excited as well. We are so blessed! Cory has been...

The Varden Family: New Normal
http://vardenfamily.blogspot.com/2011/02/new-normal.html
Monday, February 14, 2011. I've gotten really bad about updating this blog lately. I will try to do better! He got a call randomly (or so we thought) in November from a man from our church who is the Executive Director for our pastor's new non-profit resource ministry, Disciple-Making International. He invited Cory to begin the interview process for the "Executive Pastoral Assistant" position. Cory was more than thrilled! But we know that we are doing what the Lord has led us to do and we know that there...

The Varden Family: January 2011
http://vardenfamily.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 16, 2011. Its been awhile since I have sat down to update- things have been a bit crazy here at our house. Many new and exciting changes (more on that later). Here is how the rest of our Christmas holiday went:. In the future, as Mackenzie gets older, we are hoping to do more things like and Advent Calendar, etc. to really drive home with her what Christmas is truly about. After reading, Mackenzie opened her gifts. She had a blast ripping open the presents. Here is a pic of her reaction.

http://vardenfamily.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 20, 2010. We had our first official weekend of Christmas celebrations this past weekend. We started off on Friday evening with Cory's work party, which was fun. We got home around 9:30 and spent an hour in the kitchen getting food prepared for the Stewart Christmas. Saturday was also a big day for Mackenzie because she got her first haircut! My Aunt Mickey was sweet enough to cut it for her. She did so great! More Christmas festivities to come! Wednesday, December 1, 2010. We are blessed...

The Varden Family: July 2010
http://vardenfamily.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 24, 2010. Mackenzie is well on her way to having lots of cousins to play with! My sister, Randi, and her husband Shane welcomed a sweet baby girl, Preslie Ann, on July 22nd. She is precious and Cole is such a proud big brother. Mackenzie was not that impressed. She liked to wave to Preslie Ann in the hospital, but if I picked her up- watch out! Here is a pic of Preslie Ann and a picture of all the grandkids playing in the hospital. Tuesday, July 13, 2010. Tuesday, July 6, 2010. We went to ...

The Varden Family: Potty Training
http://vardenfamily.blogspot.com/2011/02/potty-training.html
Tuesday, February 15, 2011. We are tentatively entering the world of potty training. Mackenzie has decided in the last couple of weeks that she is very interested in using the potty. We have been introducing her to it for the last couple of months and she showed no interest, but is definitely interested now! She definitely doesn't go to the potty every time, but she is getting there! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Day in the Life of Linz. Never A Dull Moment With The Everetts. The Varden Family: What we've been up to lately
http://vardenfamily.blogspot.com/2011/03/what-weve-been-up-to-lately.html
Wednesday, March 23, 2011. What we've been up to lately. I'm terrible at blogging these days, so I will try and catch myself up with some bullet points of what we've been up to lately:. My grandfather was recently put in the hospital with pneumonia. He had a really bad time with it, staying in the hospital for over 2 weeks. He had a bout with what they call "ICU Psycosis" and a throat infection from all the antibiotics. He is, by God's grace, going home today. Interesting to say the least! We have spent ...

The Varden Family: November 2010
http://vardenfamily.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 16, 2010. Last week, we went to see Dr. Hamm for Mackenzie's 18 month check-up. She weighed 23 lbs 14 oz and was 32 1/4 inches. Still in the 50th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height. The doctor said that she looked great! Some likes at 18 months:. Baby dolls- she loves to hold her baby, rock her baby, and pat her baby. Such a little mama already! Sitting on the counter while I cook dinner, fix her milk, etc. Playing on the playground. Monday, November 8, 2010. This was ...

The Varden Family: August 2010
http://vardenfamily.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 18, 2010. We went to the doctor today for Mackenzie's 15 month check-up. She is "just perfect". She weighed 23 lbs (50th percentile) and was 32 inches (90th percentile). The doctor watched her walk as well and said she looked great. Here are a few things going on with Mackenzie at 15 months:. She is down to one nap a day. Occasionally she will still take a 30 minute power nap if we are in the car, but even those are few and far between. She is waking up around 7am and we usually...She i...
