I Play for a Living. As the daughter of a piano tuner and a piano teacher, I learned to play the piano at the age of 3. By the time I was 12 I had a love for accompanying and started as rehearsal accompanist for my church and school choirs. At 16 I began teaching piano in my mother’s studio.
