As a kid this was never a favorite Holiday at our house, see today was the 35th anniversary of my Grandma Toni's passing. Thankfully 4 years ago (ironically the year I was pregnant with Toni) this became a new tradition and one I now plan and get excited for all year long. That is just one of many ways my grandmother is always with us! Of course Skittles and Lucky Charms.

Well, it seems as though the holidays went too fast again this year. We had a Christmas tree hunt after we returned from Thanksgiving to get it started. The next thing we did was fly to Hawaii! Neither of the kids had spent much time at the beach so it was really fun to watch them get so into the water and the waves. Cooper was jumping all over them and by the end of the trip, as predicted, Olivia would just walk RIGHT into the water. Swimming was not high on her list of priorities however and it escaped her mind that she doesn't actually know how to do that yet! We will definitely go back there someday. It's funny, people keep telling us we won't see the sun for months now which is what makes Oregon winters so hard. But that sun keeps rearing its ugly face! What a fun weekend! For the first time in years, we spent Memorial Day with the Smith girls! It wasn't at the lake but it still had all the same necessities. with a few kids thrown in! I know, it took me awhile to post this). Which means Brooke is TWO MONTHS old today! Our sweet girl is growing so incredibly fast! Here are her two month stats from her doctor visit and development! 22 1/2 inches (58th%), grown 2 inches since birth. 10 lbs, 9 oz (44%), gained 3 lbs 3 oz since birth. Loves to be swaddled.
