The Return Of Picklesmum

The Return Of Picklesmum. Monday, 14 June 2010. End of an Era. Sadly on Saturday, we lost our last beloved cat , Sapphire (a.k.a Woo). She was 17 years old and had lived with us since we homed her from Bury Stray Cat Fund. At just 6 months old. Sapphire was most definitely a pampered lap cat and our home and lives seem very empty without her today. Take care little Woo, we miss you x x x x. Saturday, 6 March 2010. The Return Of Picklesmum: March 2010

http://picklesmum.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

The Return Of Picklesmum. Saturday, 6 March 2010. Whoever designed this spectator area at Stow Leisure Centre should be struck off. Between the spectator area and the main pool is a HUGE decorative wall meaning you cannot spectate your children in their lessons. We came by bus today bringing with us 'Olivia' from Rainbows. Luckily I didn't have to pay for her too! Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). East Anglia, United Kingdom. View my complete profile.

http://picklesmum.blogspot.com/2009/10/happy-halloween.html

The Return Of Picklesmum. Saturday, 31 October 2009. Remember back in August. When we had the mystery plant growning in the garden and we thought it may be a marrow or a courgette? Then we picked it. Because we thought it was a funny shaped marrow? Well THIS is what it was, A PUMPKIN and it made it all the way to Halloween to become this beauty! Thats fab - I am well impressed (listen to me, I sound 12! 4 November 2009 at 20:38. 4 November 2009 at 21:11. 5 November 2009 at 17:20. View my complete profile.

The Return Of Picklesmum: It grew!

http://picklesmum.blogspot.com/2010/01/it-grew.html

The Return Of Picklesmum. Saturday, 9 January 2010. Remember the strange escaping bulb that was trying to escape from it's pot at the end of last year? It grew into a beautiful if slightly short hyacinth! It smells gorgeous and reminds me of my first class at primary school all those years ago! Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone. Another Suffolk Blog: September 2008

http://anothersuffolkblog.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html

Saturday, September 27, 2008. Orford - Castle and Ness. For a change this is a post about somewhere in Suffolk on my Suffolk Blog. Last weekend we took advantage of the great weather that's finally arrived and went for a day out to Orford. Here we were able to use our memberships in both the National Trust and English Heritage all in one day. We started out by going to the displays about the history of the area which is inside one of the old military buildings. The second trail we followed took us out to...

Another Suffolk Blog: October 2008

http://anothersuffolkblog.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Monday, October 20, 2008. With the perfect autumn weather we took a trip at the weekend to visit another nearby National Trust site - Anglesey Abbey near to Cambridge. Although the house looked lovely, we decided to miss this out today. With our NT membership we find that we tend to be more relaxed about visiting places and don't feel we have to rush and try to fit everything in. Lots of leaves on the ground too which were great to rustle through. A final shot which is now on the background of my computer.

http://anothersuffolkblog.blogspot.com/2008/09/another-walk-featuring-many-pubs-and.html

Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Another walk featuring many pubs and pictures. Finally finished another blog reporting on a walk. This time it's the turn of "The Inn Way. to the Yorkshire Dales" which we walked back in May this year. It's taken a while to get around to writing it up, mostly due to the other holidays we've been on since then, so you can look forward to future reports from:. The Inn Way. to Northumberland. But for now, please redirect yourselves to:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Thursday, November 20, 2008. New walk report added. Over on the side there - - - -. Pictures and report on Hadrian's Wall path. Is finished. The next report is already underway, the Cumbria Way, which we walked straight after Hadrian's Wall (the two link together nicely). My mom and I have wanted to walk the wall for ages - i'll definitely point her to your site! 20 November 2008 at 10:40. I would really recommend it. There's so much to see, and the variety in countryside is wonderful.

Friday, July 25, 2008. With the ducks having left home, we are now enjoying watching some nocturnal visitors to the garden. Last year we saw loads of hedgehogs around, so we put out some shelters for them to hibernate in over winter. They are now back again, and this year we're ready for them with a camera! Chris Pickles Web Site. This web space is about my non-work interests, and it's divided into four areas:. Because I didn't grow up where all of my forebears came from, in Yorkshire, genealogy is always interesting for me. The family name Pickles goes back to medieval times, and comes from a small area of the Pennines near where Yorkshire and Lancashire meet. If your name is Pickles - wherever you may be today - your family was from that area around the Pennines at some point in the past.
