Cooking My Way, 2011. One new recipe a day. Must Haves For My Kitchen. Thursday, July 21. Day #202 and a"Real" Meal. Last night I made dinner and dessert. It's a first since we moved into this house. I've been too busy organizing and cleaning to think about a meal plan. Oh and did I mention it's been HOT? Steak is one of my favs, but due to budget we hardly ever have steak. While at Sam's, I noticed that if you bought the rib eye roast instead of steaks you saved almost $1 a pound. Bonus! Have a good one!

Adventures in Decorating, Thrifting, Cooking, Fashion and Gardening. Out & About. The Down & Dirty on the Stair Project. April 13, 2010. In fact, it just got worse, as I went down the stairs ripping that carpet and padding off. Like this gaping hole! Evil, evil carpet tack strips. I pulled and tugged and finally got them all out of there. Using these tools. Don’t even try this without safety glasses and leather gloves. I didn’t have a crowbar or I would have used it. See, here it is. It will splinter...

http://thenotsomodernfamily.blogspot.com/2011/02/diy-apothecary-bottles.html
Thursday, February 3, 2011. I have always had an affinity for old apothecary bottles. Something about imagining them lined up on the shop shelves always makes me smile. I am not sure why, I mean it's not like I have ever seen an actual Shop or anything, but all those different shaped and colored bottles always catch my eye. Sigh* - HandyMan thinks I am nutty enough but imagine if I said I want to take a fieldtrip here. I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Seriously - a pretty LYSOL bottle? Check out all t...
