What I love about the lap dulcimer is that is has a simplex sound to it. On one hand it seems to be a simple instrument, but this creates a complexity to unlock it's full sonic and rhythmic potential. I describe the lap dulcimer as having a western sitar sound. Thin Places Christmas
http://www.thinplacesproductions.com/thinplaceschristmas.htm
The Christmas story of Incarnation is the most epic telling of the eternal world breaking in to the physical world. The name "thin places" is a Celtic metaphor used to describe the veil between this world and the eternal world as being "tissue thin.". Thin Places Christmas is an eclectic and creative show (ancient folk modern) with a myriad of unique instruments, musical styles and art forms. Instruments include: hammer dulcimer, lap dulcimer, bagpipes, strings, accordion, banjo, guitar, piano.

things left unsaid: Living God's Dreams.
http://patrickahardy.blogspot.com/2010/02/living-gods-dreams.html
Tuesday, February 23, 2010. I have been super busy with life lately and have had little time to socialize. I have been getting lots of work. I have even had to say no to some projects in order to say yes to some bigger ones. Here is a design that I created using resources from the web, we didn't use this exact design for the series, it was a bit too kidish, but I wanted to share it still. What going on in your lives that is worth celebrating? Posted by patrick hardy. Good to be keeping in work, right?
