Friday, February 29, 2008. Journey of the wind. 169; By Grethel Haviland. The wind winds its way over gurgling streams. And ripples onto forest floors. It peeks at creatures fast asleep. And gallantly let's them slumber. But mischievously shakes the trees above. And gather their blossoms and flee. It ruffles the feathers of fowl and eagles. And treads the mountain peaks. Then it swiftly climbs, to give the skies a kiss. It passes over fields of corn. And farmsteads nestled among trees. The title of this ...

Dorothy's Blog: Poetry 2

Thursday, February 14, 2008. Through a window a lonely puppy peers. He has no home, and no one to tell of his fears. He looks for someone to love, and to be loved. Yet no one cares, and farther into the streets he’s shoved. He forever remains alone, does no one care? Or will life remain to treat him unfair? Wandering the streets, he watches as life goes by. No one spares him a second glance, and it breaks. His heart as he wishes he would just die. He was going to die anyway. Or other things untold. Attit...

Love Tiffany =D: Lord of the Flies #1
http://tiffanylovesu.blogspot.com/2007/05/lord-of-flies-1.html
Thursday, May 31, 2007. Lord of the Flies #1. Who are the main characters in the novel? Do you like them? Why or why not? What is special about them? What do they reveal about the universal human experience? I like the characters, because they are close to the teenagers which I can feel similar to. Also they are special because the young people are leading the story. I think I wouldn't be shocked much if the characters are adults but the fact that the characters are little boys made me feel so sad. I...

Love Tiffany =D: Lord of the Flies #7
http://tiffanylovesu.blogspot.com/2007/05/lord-of-flies-7.html
Thursday, May 31, 2007. Lord of the Flies #7. Are there are any current situations in the world that relate to the novel? What are they, and how do they relate? Does the novel shed any light on how current situations could be resolved or "fixed"? Overall, I liked the story because it made me to think once more and think of the world first.
