Just another WordPress.com site. Monarchs arrive in Plains at the Rosalynn Carter Butterfly Trail. The first monarch was spotted in Plains on August 18th on Rosalynn Carter’s 87th birthday! We have spotted several in the public gardens in Plains. Monarchs have also been spotted in private gardens around Plains. This monarch is one that was raised from an egg found on milkweed in one of the public gardens, tagged and released in 2013. You are invited to join the Rosalynn Carter Butterfly Trail.
