The New Word Order: November 2005
http://newwordorder.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
28 November, 2005. I didn't fall off, I was tripped by obligation. Drew mentioned that it appears that I've given up on my blog, which is not the case. No excuses, no apologies. It's my blog, I'll write in it when I want. Tomorrow night, Citypaper. Editor-In-Chief Duane Swierczynski (of previous post fame) will be stopping by the house to read from his book. It's an event for the staff and friends of the Collegian. Since Duane used to be a Collegian. Editor himself back in the day. I'm working on a piece...

The New Word Order: March 2006
http://newwordorder.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
27 March, 2006. I'm pretty excited for baseball season to start (sorry Gwen. I'm playing fantasy baseball this year, though I won't be able to update my team that often and will probably get trounced once July rolls around. Since blogger isn't letting me upload pictures or a larger file size as I could before, I've put them in a webshots folder. That said, here are some more pictures from Ireland. Has anyone else seen the new Skittles commercial. I think that it helps me work faster, when I am doing work...

Annihilate This Week: The Band Played Waltzing Matilda
http://annihilatethisweek.blogspot.com/2008/05/band-played-waltzing-matilda.html
Sunday, May 18, 2008. The Band Played Waltzing Matilda. Yesterday at the bar I met a local Vietnam veteran. I picked his brain for a half hour about his experiences and when I asked him if his year and a half tour was of average length he replied, "My tour was a little more than average and at the time I was furious, but compared to our troops' tours today, I have no complaints.". After that I started thinking, really thinking. No wonder Shane MasGowan's an alcoholic. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

My Way To Mariana: May 2008
http://waytomariana.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 7, 2008. Solo road trip 08. I'm such a bad blogger, which is odd considering my generally self-absorbed nature. Lots of excellent things going on, but today I am preparing for SOLO ROAD TRIP 2008. I'm pretty thrilled about 21 hours in the car with just little old me (though is it bad that I kind of wish Eloise was coming? I've been practicing my postcard haikus! During the course of the 21 hours, in between swooning over Ira Glass and Ben Gibbard (shut up), I plan to do the following:.

Sunday, March 30, 2008. My favorite place in mid-town. This is Deno's Party House/Colon Hydrotherapy, at 30th and 8th. Apparently they have jello shots served by bikini clad waitresses downstairs and all natural enemas upstairs. What more could a girl want? Labels: adventures in new york. Friday, March 28, 2008. Other great things include finding my favorite scarf and $1400 I forgot I had. Not sure which I'm more excited about. I am hopeful today will land firmly on the "best of times" side. (which m...

The New Word Order: September 2005
http://newwordorder.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
30 September, 2005. Dr Jim Bob says turn your head and cough. Smokin' is good for ya, son. For some reason, I keep getting sick randomly. Two weeks ago, I attributed it to the frigid nature of every classroom building on campus coupled with the himidity outside, which was more oppressive than white people in the 50's. However, I found myself sick again. It did allow me, however, to successfully take a nap for the first time this year, a 4 hour epic that spanned the length of my night class. This just in:...
