Ontstaan van de stichting Platform Nederlandse Folklore. De FFGN staat alleen groepen toe met dansen en kostuums uit de eigen streek. Hierdoor waren er een tiental groepen in Nederland die enerzijds met onze cultuur zo goed mogelijk willen omgaan, maar anderzijds niet bij de FFGN passen. De Kunstfactor Dans ( voorheen Landelijk Centrum Amateurdans) richt zich voornamelijk op volksdansen van buiten Nederland.

Platformdag Koedijk, 1 november 2014. Op de warmste 1 november ooit, verzamelden velen zich in de Rietschoot in Koedijk om daar op allerhande manieren zich met Nederlandse Folklore bezig te houden. Liefst 5 groepen gingen er optreden, en ’s avonds kon iedereen op de vloer Nederlands dansen. Zowel het Nederlands Centrum Volkscultuur en Immaterieel Erfgoed (VIE) als het Prins Bernhardfonds waren bereid om het evenement te steunen. Er kan worden teruggekeken op weer een succesvolle dag.
