Ramblings by Delixe, a dedicated PC gamer. News, reviews and anything that just pops into my head. Friday, 24 May 2013. Throw me a frikkin Xbone. Ladies and gentlemen. Microsoft has finally shown us the future it has in mind for the gaming industry and it's really rather ugly. The Xbox One. You will also effectively block your Box's IR receiver so when Kinect has trouble listening to you you won't even be able to use the remote. The future! Well all this can be fixed with decent games right? Seems to agr...

Ramblings by Delixe, a dedicated PC gamer. News, reviews and anything that just pops into my head. Monday, 24 February 2014. The ABC's of Game Journalism - How to act like a bitter little child. Envy is a truly horrible emotion. It can cloud ones judgement and foster resentment making you feel like the whole world is against you. I can only imagine 'George' is full of envy right now as it's the only reason I can see for this article on Ruthless Reviews. F - Fifteen. Yeah. no. Other than work ...G - Girl ...

The Adventure Gamer: Missed Classic 8: Mission: Asteroid (1980)
http://advgamer.blogspot.com/2015/05/missed-classic-8-mission-asteroid-1980.html
Saturday, 2 May 2015. Missed Classic 8: Mission: Asteroid (1980). Written by: Joe Pranevich. As 1980 drew to a close, Ken and Roberta Williams knew that they were onto something big with their graphical adventure games. Their first two games, Mystery House. And Wizard and the Princess. I was unable to locate a real title screen for this game, only this “cracked” variant. Enough introduction, let’s play the game! A well house for a large spring? Maybe this is a game for new players? A computer room with a...

Tuesday, 31 March 2015. Game 50: B.A.T. - Dance 'til you Drop. Ageless, Faceless, Gender-Neutral, Terran Adventure Person's Journal #2. Well, I've explored the entirety of town, now. After having been shot at by Glockmups and Stickrobs (and damn, do those Stickrobs hurt when they fire away! This is what I found at the adult theatre in the Hot Quarter's 'films' department for 5 Krells. Restrain yourself, these people mean business. The evil scientist Vrangor, with the only named lead that we could follow ...

Friday, 30 January 2015. Answers by Mad Welshman. Introduction and Captions by Ilmari. Our group of reviewers is growing! He sure looks mad, but I wouldn't have guessed he's a Welsh! My Home Country Is. Wales, glorious Wales, land of harps, sheep, rain, and interesting myth cycles which may predate Arthurian myth, but we're not sure because we only have two main written sources, and they're both post christianisation and waaaay past our use of the oral tradition, go us! My Favourite Adventure Game is.

The Adventure Gamer: Twenty Questions to Two Guys from Andromeda
http://advgamer.blogspot.com/2015/05/twenty-questions-to-two-guys-from.html
Wednesday, 6 May 2015. Twenty Questions to Two Guys from Andromeda. The first game where I realized games had developers was Space Quest 3. At one point of the game Roger Wilco found his way into a lair of evil pirates, who had imprisoned two aliens with prominent pig snouts. My 8-year old self wasn't really sure who these aliens were, until Roger finally drove them to Earth and left them to work in Sierra. Wasn't Sierra the company that had published Space Quests? This picture spells nostalgia for me.

Thursday, 31 July 2014. Game 45: Quest for Glory II - Butt Kicking for Goodness. Tricky Journal Entry 5:. If I only had a dinar for every thanks I received! If I haven't already mentioned it, the numbers in red are the ones that have changed since I last viewed the character screen. Very helpful! It was the human-shaped tree that Aziza had told me about! I'm surprised my wussy saurus didn't bolt at the sight of this creepy tree. This lesson wasn't particularly helpful. 3 points) I remembered to pick up t...

The Adventure Gamer: May 2015
http://advgamer.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, 30 May 2015. Game 54: Space Quest IV - Back to the Sequel. Roger Wilco’s Janitorial Log #4. I have finally escaped the shopping mall! Vohaul’s Sequel Police eventually caught up with me there, but I gave them the slip and nicked one of their time pods to travel back to Space Quest I. There I managed to avoid a biker gang, but not do all that much else. Now I’m on my way back to Space Quest XII to see if there is anything new I can do there. I might be stuck. This place looks familiar. Where we ...
