About - David X Novak

http://www.davidxnovak.org/about.html

I wrote my first poem for a class assignment in 6th grade, but it was not until high school that I began to get serious about the craft. My first four poets—that is, my earliest influences—were: E.E. Cummings. It was not until college, as a student of Paul Carroll. At the University of Illinois in Chicago, that I began to widen my study, spurred on by his infectious enthusiasm. Soon I became enamored with John Keats. Paul suggested, "Try not to write like Cummings anymore.".

What is What and How I see It. The poetry/ramblings of a literati to be. Wednesday, August 25, 2010. I have been having a fantastic day. School was enjoyable and all of my classes seem awesome.
