Vesna Armstrong Photography: One Last Christmas: Red House Museum, Gormesal, Bronte Landmark
http://vesnaarmstrong.blogspot.com/2017/01/one-last-christmas-red-house-museum.html
Tuesday, 3 January 2017. One Last Christmas: Red House Museum, Gormesal, Bronte Landmark. The 2016 Christmas event was a huge success. It was very busy, the house filled all day with visitors wanting to have one last look at this beautiful place and enjoy Victorian Christmas decorations and atmosphere. Apparently, there were more people there than at any event in the last few years. In the parlour members of Nonsuch Dulcimer Club were playing Christmas songs. I don't remember ever having listened to ...

Vesna Armstrong Photography: December 2015
http://vesnaarmstrong.blogspot.com/2015_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 30 December 2015. Lone Tree And Quarry Mound, aka Rabbit Hill, Haworth. Maybe one day if I am lucky enough. For now, most of the time I have to rely on my imagination and creative ability to reproduce that sort of feel out of mundane shots. I applied two textures from the brand new Distressed Textures. Pack called "Artist Palette Seasons", and a free grunge clouds texture I found on Flickr:. Wednesday, 23 December 2015. Christmas Still Life with Panettone. In post processing I wanted to enhanc...

The Compelling Portraiture Residential - What is it all about? | My blog
http://www.carolynmendelsohnphoto.com/portraits/why-come-to-the-residential
The Residential – How come? The Residential – How come? Apr 28, 2015. Call it an event, a retreat, a happening, a course or as I do – a residential – I think I have found my special place by creating something that combines all my previous skills (I used to make large site specific art and theatre work) and bringing people/artists/photographers together to go on an especially liberating, challenging and inspiring creative journey. I can’t begin to tell you how wonderful it was to have Kate T Parker.

Scribbling from a Nottingham suburb. All posts by basfordianthoughts. 52 dates for writers: a review. October 3, 2016. Part of the myth of writing is the amount of time spent in front of a screen. Or a notebook. Or however you do it. Time away from tapping away on that keyboard is time wasted, we think, and sit and try to get something, anything, down on the page. October 2, 2016. Vesna Armstrong Photography: A Little Christmas Window
http://vesnaarmstrong.blogspot.com/2016/12/a-little-christmas-window.html
Thursday, 15 December 2016. A Little Christmas Window. Every year in the past few years I tried to create a classic tabletop Christmas still life. This year I thought I'd do something slightly different for a change and simply work on a shot of my kitchen window instead. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year To All My Readers. 15 December 2016 at 04:19. So pretty, you have such flair. Yes, it does look snowy too! Clever. Happy Christmas to you Vesna. 16 December 2016 at 14:12. 20 December 2016 at 14:52.

Vesna Armstrong Photography: February 2016

Friday, 26 February 2016. From Elterwater Towards Little Langdale, The Lake District. Last Saturday we came back from a lovely, relaxing seven day break in the Lake District. We stayed in my favourite Grasmere and shared the delightful Hollens Farm Cottage. Sunday, our first full day, was Valentine's day and also Liz's birthday. It was a beautiful, sunny day so we decided to start our holiday with a nice walk somewhere none of us had been before. We chose this walk from my little pocket size, muc...The E...

Thursday, 22 September 2016. Giddings and Some Other Rooms of Ponden Hall. I love interiors and I love to photograph what I love, so that is why I always take pictures of places I stay at. Those photos are just as important to me as all the ones I take outdoors, especially when you stay somewhere special like Ponden Hall. Ponden was originally a large farmhouse built in the 17th century. It has many connections. With the famous literary Bronte sisters regarding both their lives and works. The room was na...

Vesna Armstrong Photography: April 2016

Tuesday, 26 April 2016. The Hamlet of Lumbfoot, Haworth, Bronte Country, April 2015. Since it takes a lot less time to take photos than to edit them and write about them I always have a lot of old images "waiting to see daylight" and be dealt with. On this occasion I'd like to share a beautiful circular walk around Lumbfoot G and I went for about this time last year. One of the joys of springtime is lots of cute lambs all over fields. Loved this little scene with the lamb chilling in the shade snuggl...

Monday, 29 August 2016. Mellrigg Cottage, Ullswater, Lake District. During our week's holiday at Ullswater earlier this month we stayed at Mellrigg. The back of the cottage - just as pretty as the front. We loved popping out through the back door to enjoy the outdoors. The dining area with a window seat. We had a few tasty full English breakfasts here to keep us going on our daily ramblings, and some simple but scrummy evening meals, all made so much more enjoyable by the lovely ambience. The sitting are...
