To distant music and faraway lands. Friday, December 04, 2009. A new love affair. A new love affair is underway these days. with the Japanese maple outside our living room window. It has changed colors in preparation for fall - a bright crimson red. And every time I come down the stairs in the morning it makes me smile. Posted by Pooja Aggarwal. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). To distant music and faraway lands. Tuesday, September 28, 2010. A trip is going to happen soon. Generally this blog sits orphaned - wondering why its owner even created it, for now and then she completely forgets about it. But then some friend or family member call up or chat and tell her how they love reading her blog. They remind the owner that she has this other baby to take care of too. And so she comes back. To distant music and faraway lands. Saturday, April 04, 2009. Sunit and I were visiting San Francisco and were we surprised to come across someone familiar - Mahatma Gandhi. I believe it was in the backyard of the Ferry building but i am not sure since this was a while ago. We were filled with pride for those brief few moments. Took a number of pictures but this one with the bay bridge in the background was my favorite. Posted by Pooja Aggarwal. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Travel Tales from India.

To distant music and faraway lands. Monday, November 09, 2009. Tis the season of colored leaves. Fall is here and trees all around are changing color. Outside my bedroom window I see a crimson leafed tree in a neighbor's backyard and another ochre colored one up the hill. Posted by Pooja Aggarwal. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Travel Memoirs: December 2012

Tuesday, December 04, 2012. More flowers from around home. Back with some more flowers - clicked in the apartment complex I live in - that had been lying on my disk, waiting for more than 2 months to be posted. Come rain, and lilies start blooming all around! A solitary mustard sprig. A couple of yellow lilies in midst of white. Yellow ones are relatively rare, and pink are rarer). Nature - around us. Travel Memoirs: Coorg

http://shalinistravelogue.blogspot.com/2013/05/coorg.html

Thursday, May 09, 2013. We visited Coorg in Sept 2012, when my parents had come over for a visit. I didn't get around to make this post since then; and now, with all the time lag, its going to be just a picture post . Cauvery - almost at a standstill. Supposed to be a riverside resort. Though this was all we could see of the Cauvery - and not with ease either. Toy train in a play area near Raja's seat. Couldn't get any clear pictures from Rajah's seat viewpoint due to the haze. The pathway at Abbey Falls.

A part of the Kedarnath shrine in the foreground. Snow covered peaks in all their glory. The Temple of Kedarnath. As viewed from the backside. It was impossible to get a complete front view). Imposing entrance of the temple. Himalayas in the background look enchanting. Devotees exiting from the side entrance.

Travel Memoirs: Coorg - Dubare

http://shalinistravelogue.blogspot.com/2013/05/coorg-dubare.html

Thursday, May 09, 2013. On the way back from Coorg, we planned to visit the Dubare elephant camp, where my son could enjoy bathing and feeding the elephants. Like most kids, seeing animals make him happy, even if he is a little scared. And he is just crazy about water - he can spend any amount of time playing in it! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Travel Memoirs: October 2012

Tuesday, October 16, 2012. In an around Bangalore - Nandi Hills. It is essentially a small hill, about 60 kms from where I reside. You can drive up to the top of the hill, where there is a garden, and an ancient temple. It might have been a beautiful place, but for the ill-maintained garden, and lot of construction (presumably for some resort-cottages) that will block the nice view you can have from the top of the hill. Friday, November 02, 2012. And rather packed with the visiting humans, and resident simians. The stairs are well built, though a bit difficult to get down, due to the incline. Climbing up was a lot more tougher! We also passed by an ancient temple, and made a stop there on our way back. Though it didn't look quite so ancient from outside, once inside we could see that the idols and the original shrines were really old. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Random Musings | Poetry by Pooja Alok

Poetry by Pooja Alok. And the dust settled. Our dreams were eroded. Like life was flowing out. And I could not breathe. Everything seemed the same. You were no longer there. Not in my arms. Not even in sight. As I stood waiting alone. Gazing stars all night. And they would not fall. No luck for me to grab. Till the waves washed away. Illusions, day by day. No fear I hold. Smile with the winds. I was alive once. This entry was posted in Poetry. June 6, 2015. Pain of feeding the monster, weak. Lying deep w...
