Hope you had a great day, didn't get pinched and enjoyed some corned beef and cabbage (and a nice Irish stout! Lots of love from your partially Irish Aiello girls. After li...

I always find that the obligatory holidays (i.e. Mother's Day/Father's Day) inevitably creep up on me without much notice (yes, even the signs at the Japanese store that tell me to "thank father" pass me by without helpng me really remember. Usually. :). This year, I was on it. I remembered AND got cards out in the mail to the great father's in our life. (Did you get them yet? Brad and his Dad (Grandfather). 5th Kyu Green Belt.

CLICK HERE FOR BLOGGER TEMPLATES. Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Tokyo - Day 5. Our first full day in Tokyo was a little overwhelming. As I mentioned in the previous post, there is SO much to do in Tokyo (think NYC), that it was difficult to decide where to begin. We opted to do another half-day bus tour. It got us out and about and let us enjoy a few sight seeing locations. Our first stop: The Tokyo Tower. Alessandra by one of the windows. Yep, here we are, in the Tokyo Tower. Tokyo Bay behind us. One of th...

CLICK HERE FOR BLOGGER TEMPLATES. Thursday, April 12, 2012. One year ago, today. My life changed. The date of my life changing coincides with a day that changed the lives for many thousands of people across Japan – the day of the terrible earthquake and tsunami. My day happens the day after that. My fantastic neurologist (and friend) Rob Beck explained it so clearly to Brad and I t...

CLICK HERE FOR BLOGGER TEMPLATES. Tuesday, April 27, 2010. Ice cream on vacation. After our trip to Halong. Bay (and another quick evening in Hanoi) we caught a flight from Hanoi to Danang. First off for people looking to travel to the area: note: if you are flying internally in Vietnam. We arrived in Danang. And the temperature had risen about 15 degrees ( ahhhh. Had many pieces of American influence i.e. runways, old helicopter bunkers). When we finally got a car, we headed to Hoi. An, it was called Hoi.
