October 8, 2014. Abby is now nine months old! Luckily we've only had one incident when the door actually made contact. Abby likes to practice walking whenever she can and is getting pretty sturdy on her legs. I wouldn't be surprised if she was walking by her first birthday. Head circumference: 45.70 cm. September 20, 2013. It's about time for another baby update. I am now 25 weeks, which is feeling very close to the end for some reason even though I still have another trimester go. The other day someone commented, "wow, only three more months! And it totally blew my mind. Technically it's another 3.5 months but whose counting. ;). October 21, 2013. She is so active and loves to be outside. I take her on "nature" walks everyday which are really walks around the block. She likes to stop and pick up interesting things like flowers, sticks and mostly garbage. She has really learned the meaning of "icky! One, two three! Sounds more like "Ahn, ta, eee! She can also make the sounds for wolf, sheep and dog. Playing at Great's house. Taking a ride with Poppy at the park. Riding the carousel at Happy Hollow. Helping Papa in the garden.

March 17, 2014. Abby Newborn Photo Shoot. These photos were taken of Abby when she was two weeks old by our friend Heather Millenaar. Abby was pretty agreeable and allowed us to bend her this way and that way but her big sister wasn't as cooperative. I was hoping to get a good photo of the girls together but it was hard to get them in the same shot. In the end we got some really great shots of each of them - just not together. So in love with these two girls! Thank you Heather for the beautiful photos.

September 8, 2014. Seven and Eight months. While we were there Abby got her first tooth and on our last day there, she started to crawl! Lately she has been nursing a ton and I thought she might be going through a growth spurt. She only gained a pound this month but she has grown one inch. She is now wearing 9 month clothes which I just got out of the basement because I couldn't snap her pajamas anymore. Here are her stats for this month:. Head circumference: 44.5cm. July 14, 2014. She likes to mimick sounds and laughter. If we are laughing she will sometimes start laughing as if to be a pat of the conversation, which of course makes Ellie laugh, which makes her laugh more and they get into this laugh cycle which is hilarious. August 20, 2013. We would have been happy with "healthy" but I am secretly (and not so secretly) pleased that I'll be able to reuse Ellie's clothes and girl stuff. She has an unnatural amount of clothing so it's great that we don't have to start over from scratch in that department. The ultrasound went well and based on my last experience I decided to not. December 17, 2013. I can't believe it but it's that time again - full term! I don't know if its because its the holiday season or because pregnancy the 2nd time around is so much busier, but this baby making thing has just whizzed by.
