Just up the hill from Port Navas is Potager. A charming informal garden and glasshouse cafe which has been restored from an old nursery. It’s a peaceful friendly place to relax and enjoy a light lunch. Potager is open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays from Easter through the end of September. Next door to Trebah, the National Trust garden at Glendurgan. There is lovely free garden at Candy’s Gate, just by the National Trust car page serving Durgan. Find out more in our Walks.

Our local section of the South West Coast Path. Runs from Falmouth around into the Helford where it crosses by ferry to Helford village and continues all the way round the Lizard to Loe Bar, Helston and Porthleven. It’s a beautiful walk, but if you can’t spare the time to do it all, there are many places nearby where you can do a convenient circular walk taking in part of the coast path. Here are three of our favourites:. Rosemullion Head and Mawnan Shear. Trebah, Durgan and Helford Passage.

Three miles away at Maenport beach is our best local restaurant. For the past ten years Arty Williams has been producing simple but elegant food based on the best local ingredients available. The location overlooking the beach and Falmouth Bay is fabulous. A little further on towards Falmouth, Hooked on the Rocks. Sits above Swanpool beach and specialises in fresh fish and seafood, including lobster. The atmosphere is usually lively and there’s a big deck overlooking the beach and Falmouth bay.
