Monday, December 30, 2013. Planning a Road Trip Down Pacific Coast Highway. In July I went on a road trip with my parents down Highway 1. In preparing for this trip I did a number of things for research. I Googled ideas and agendas, I used Google Maps to figure out the distances between places, I read blogs and I read articles. They booked the trip a year ago and invited me to go but I turned them down, not wanting to invade on a trip the two of them could have some time together, but they kept inviting and I finally said yes. Sunday, December 28, 2014. The views along the way were so beautiful. When we first arrived on the island we ate lunch in Sidney (about 30 minutes north of Victoria) at a place called Fish on 5th. It was little hipster/ hippie sea food restaurant. Afterwards we walked around the cute little town before making our way down to Victoria. Sunday, March 22, 2015. One day I was even feeling a little weird about how may 'Italy" posts I had already made and decided I would skip that day and just double up a recap of two days with one picture the next day. That was, until one of the girls I was traveling with commented that I hadn't posted and she said, "I didn't get to read about what we did today! She even was enjoying the recaps.
