Greetings in a 4x6 Frame! Jillmoeller on November 24th, 2011. The world is crowded with opportunities for gratitude, many of which are incognito. And the incognito is not always easy to penetrate. The real labor is to remember to attend…to come awake, aware…and to remain aware and in fact active in the moments that bring the heart to a humble place of thankfulness. Inspired by an excerpt by C.S. Lewis. Jillmoeller on May 26th, 2011. What a sweet retreat, eh? A perfect weekend. :). The empty lab pictured ...

Postcards From The Kitchen. Postcards From The Kitchen. The Year Long Journey. On March 13th, 2015. Small things have great consequences. This is something that I and my loving wife have come to learn through some mighty hardships. Being South African and newly married, my wife and I needed to sit down and complete an application for a Spouse Visa. My then current Visa that allowed me residency in the UK, was coming to an end. It was not until March 2014 that we became aware that in actual fact, South Af...

I love getting postcards. These are some virtual postcards from me - doing something, somewhere. Not always a high day or a holiday, sometimes it's 'everyday'. Wish you were here? Monday, September 30, 2013. You're not interested in the plants, you want to know about the cafe? Come on, it's National Trust, of course they do good cake! Posted by Katharine DSouza. Monday, September 9, 2013. Postcard from the Library. The folk at the Library were kind enough to let me have a go on their blog. In which I exp...

Postcards From Kabul
Observations of an expat living in Afghanistan. So every time I go to a meeting with (client in heavily secured compound with a bazillion checkpoints, adorable curly-haired bomb-sniffing dog and very intimate full-body checks including a lady that actually lifted up my skirt today) we submit our car description/names/identification/first-born children-as-collateral so that they will let us in–and every time, the reason they actually let us in is because my driver calls his cousin. A Walk In The Dark.

Thursday, April 14, 2011. You've got skin problems, and eHow will fix them. Like everyone, when things go wrong in your life, my first thought is to turn to eHow.com to offer clarity in this mixed up world. Today, let’s learn what eHow suggests when you have discovered a skin thingy and need medical attention. EHow rates this as Difficulty: Moderate. But with a little forethought and elbow grease we can dial that difficulty level to simple and make you the pimp of pimples. This is a great first step!

Our Summer in France
A little “Paradis” history. In the heart of wine country. Where we’re going. Where we’ve been. Our Summer in France. Day Seventy: We’re on our way home. We are home now. The house looks almost as it did when we left – just a few things in different places and a few new things that were not here when we left. Somehow, it feels different though. It sounds odd, it smells different and yet it is all so familiar. Now, for the real story. Our marathon final day. Kate’s going to pull her first allnighter! Day S...
