Det er søndag morgen på LAMB Skole og en stille brise frister fotografen ved at brede flaget ud. Børn og lærere synger nationalsangen 'Mit gyldne Bengalen, hvor jeg elsker Dig.'. Vi er begyndt på et nyt semester og hver søndag foregår det her. Det er en god oplevelse at få lov til at stå foran børnene og høre dem synge så højt de kan. Vi er nu godt inde i det nye år 1421 efter den bengalske kalender. Det nye år begyndte 14. april igen i år og markerer nogenlunde godt at vi er ved at være ved vejs ende med skoleåret 2013-14. Spørgsmålet til mig når jeg ikke ønsker vil ændre børns alder er, om det er bedre at stå i vejen for børnenes chancer end at være fleksibel med deres alder. Desuden gør jeg jo allerede de koreanske børn to år yngre end de er i Korea - dog uden at ændre fødselsdage. Abonner på: Kommentarer til indlægget (Atom).

Fysik, Kemi og Biologi lærer. Vi har ansat en ny lærer på skolen, i mange år har et af vore store ønsker været at få en national 'science' lærer på skolen. The poppy was unable to move as it lay just across the path from the enclosed bathing area behind the hospital. The mother and twin poppy were nearby watching as it lay whining in pain. Mr H, a Muslim, came with me and saw the dog and agreed that it would die but said it is a sin to kill a living being. Regardless of who we were, we were unable to kill the little dog. My parents have visited again, I think it is the seventh time since I moved to Bangladesh in 1995 that they have come to spend time with us here at LAMB. It is common for people in Bangladesh to have their parents stay with them for months on end, so it is no surprise that they come every other year.
