What Is In My Head: First Lesson on Coping...
http://whatisinmyhead.blogspot.com/2013/09/first-lesson-on-coping.html
What Is In My Head. Thoughts on the why of me. Wednesday, September 18, 2013. First Lesson on Coping. I wrote that Davis and Bass are very careful and thoughtful with words. To me, no where is this more clear than in the chapter on coping. Here, as before, the emphasis is on celebrating that you have survived. I do not think many people give credence to what an accomplishment that is. To Bass and Davis, life matters. So even if your life now. Bass and Davis, p. 12). All of us use coping strategies to dea...

He said, “Take now your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you.”. The Things of Life: Day 4
http://thethingsoflife.blogspot.com/2015/06/day-4.html

I was really looking forward to having the summer with my kids. Last summer, we had the store, and I had a plan for where the kids would be for all 10 weeks. By the end of summer last year, with the kids being gone one at a time or at camp or somewhere else, I felt like I had missed out of a lot with them. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Things of Life: February 2015

Saturday, February 07, 2015. The bathroom floor is gritty. It was also akin to a pond. Yesterday, the kids' job was to clean the bathroom sink. They turned it into scrubbing the tile floor. I asked what they were doing, they evaded the question and shut the door. Since they are not the quietest children, and scrubbing isn't a silent activity, I already knew what they were doing. And I peeked under the door and took a picture. For half an hour they cleaned. Somehow I managed to get all the water wiped up,...

What Is In My Head: Silence...

What Is In My Head. Thoughts on the why of me. Thursday, December 19, 2013. On April 19, 2012, Grey's Anatomy. Tackled the effects of child sexual abuse in " The Girl With No Name. One scene in particular resonated deeply with me. It came after the young survivor had been tasked with getting her own food in the cafeteria, to practice interacting with others. She tried several food stations (soup and pizza) before simply going over to the self-serve station. Hey how are you feeling? That was a big deal.
