A scheduling screw up last week led me to kill some time at Barnes and Noble. I decided to look through all the YA fiction to find a book that had a similar story line to my own: chick lit for teenagers with a fantasy twist (not vampire fantasy - just far fetching "yeah right, in your dreams" kind of fantasy.) I found Meg Cabot. Holy cow. Somebody pray for me please.

I know I write YA fiction, and I love reading YA fiction, but sometimes I like grown up books too. Biographies and classics are my fav, but I've been meaning to read Howard Zinn for the last year and was tempted by my teacher's discount at Barnes and Noble. But up to 18 people reading what I've written. It went down to 53% a few days ago and I thought I'd wait a little longer before writing to you about it. Is that cheating? Anyhow, 61% feels like a number I'm willing to share. There Now that I've given myself this added pressure of telling you what happens I will actually have to talk to them.
