Monday, January 23, 2012. As I leaf through my design magazines I have noticed an increase in the presence and popularity of Ikat (pronounced ee-kat) and Chevron patterns. Both patterns have long histories, yet when I mention them to my clients, they often look a little befuddled. The Chevron pattern is generally known for its use in military insignia and is a V-shape.
