At the moment the European Burns Association does not have an institution offering grants, bursaries or fellowship programs for doctors or other professionals involved in Burn Care. Our very limited financial resources currently do not allow running programs of this kind. Along with our current efforts to expand the scope of activities by establishing an institution for advancing burn care, hopefully this will be possible in the not too distant future. PAM Meeting Vienna, November 2015. The first meeting after the Hannover congress was in Vienna, Austria, and held at Allgemeines Krankenhaus (AKH). One of the first things on the agenda was welcome and introduce the two new PAM members Guila and Romana. Both will be a great addition to the committee with their experience and new ideas. The task force group burn disasters in Europe was formed in 2009 at the EBA Conference in Lausanne to clarify the current European structures for cross border transfer of burn patients in disaster situations. The following fields of activity for the EBA were identified:. Identify nation-specific disaster plans. Establish a map of risk regions. Explore EU grants to fund that research. Develop an internet-teaching platform. Identify normal and disaster capacity of burn centers. Harmonize victim ID Sheets.
