primitivepoint: June 2015

http://primitivepoint.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

Something to think about.Archives. Monday, June 29, 2015. Made this eating spoon from a piece of local oak. I've tried identifying this oak, but have been unsuccessful so far. I spent quite a bit of time on this because the grain was so challenging, particularly on the handle, but I like how it came out. Links to this post. Thursday, June 25, 2015. Two out of white oak. primitivepoint: two out of white oak

http://primitivepoint.blogspot.com/2015/06/two-out-of-white-oak.html

Something to think about.Archives. Thursday, June 25, 2015. Two out of white oak. My wife brought back a piece of white oak from her trip out east. The wood is from her mom's property and my wife asked me to make her mom a couple of spoons out of it for a birthday gift. They're a tad over fourteen inches long. (My wife wanted to keep them.I still have more of the wood, so I'll have to make her some too.). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Something to think about. 8211;–Ray Bradbury.

Something to think about.Archives. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Finished up this one. Looks good, my friend. I spent all weekend working on spoons too. Http:/ www.northkitsapherald.com/news/303997011.html. Nice, Joel. Looks like fun. Are you able to sell spoons at an event like that? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Something to think about. 8211;–Ray Bradbury. Ron's Primitive Skills Blog. primitivepoint: working down handle

http://primitivepoint.blogspot.com/2015/05/working-down-handle.html

Something to think about.Archives. Saturday, May 16, 2015. Worked on the handle, getting it down to shape. I'm playing with the idea of putting some turk's head knots on it, just to keep with the "neo-tribal" look. If the wood ends up looking really nice, that choice will be harder. I think the lighter wood will contrast nicely with the knots though. We'll see. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Something to think about. 8211;–Ray Bradbury. Ron's Primitive Skills Blog. Sharpenstein Knifewerks: Update!

http://sharpensteinknifewerks.blogspot.com/2008/10/update.html

Thursday, October 2, 2008. At the request of Todd and a few others, here is an update of what Ive been working on. Ive been adding two additions to my forge shed. My original shop was 10x16. The additions are 10x12 and 10x8. This will more than double my square footage and allow me to seperate my forging area from my grinding and finishing area. I cant wait to get it all set up the way I want it. Thursday, October 02, 2008. That looks great, Larry! October 5, 2008 at 4:31 PM. View my complete profile.

Ancient wisdom fueling modern fires. Spoons from south of the border. April 30, 2011. Yet these spoons are thick, sturdy, and even somewhat crude looking, although certainly not ugly. April 29, 2011. Well, I got out to the forge on Wednesday. Just couldn’t handle being away anymore. I forged out a little integral. The metal flowed smoothly. The solid feel of the hammer felt like reconnecting with an old friend. I’m thinking about creosote for the handle. Look how small it is! This one is a mini. Whereas ...

Primitive Politics

My name is Patrick M McCormick and I have created this blog as a platform for my political views as well as those of select contributors. I believe that American Politicians have lost sight of their goal: To uphold the Constitution and protect the rights of the people of the United States. They argue and bicker on the floor of their respective houses, positioning themselves for the next election, while they accomplish very little business for the citizens of this country.
