http://propontificemaximo.blogspot.com/2010/09/distinguishing-changeable-from-fixed.html
Saturday, September 25, 2010. Distinguishing the changeable from the fixed. A letter from our Parish Priest to the local Catholic newspaper, the Southern Cross. Unfortunately, I cannot find the letter, online, to which this was a response but it was of the usual 'let's do things our. Way' variety which I think can be seen from some of the things on which Fr Thomas comments in his letter. Distinguishing the changeable from the fixed. 23 September 2010 by Letters Editor. 3) Before we reach Vatican Council ...

PRO PONTIFICE MAXIMO: February 2009
http://propontificemaximo.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 10, 2009. A request for a novena to St Therese. I would like to request that all who read this blog begin a novena to St Therese of Lisieux, for Bishop Williamson that he might be granted the grace of a conversion of heart and also for the process of the reabsorption of the SSPX into the Church. The novena can be found here. Here, too, is a prayer that Therese said daily for priests. Mother of sorrows and of love, out of compassion for Thy beloved Son, open in our hearts deep wells of l...

Friday, January 30, 2009. A tiny lion for a lion-hearted Pope. I have to say that I was extremely touched by this moment at the General Audience on Wednesday. The Holy Father's love of cats is legendary and it was heartwarming to see the joy that the appearance of this little lion cub gave to the Holy Father. Here is a link. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). PRO PONTIFICE MAXIMO: November 2008
http://propontificemaximo.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 23, 2008. At today's Mass for the. Feast of Christ the King. A number of children in the parish received their First Holy Communion. Something completely unexpected and rather wonderful happened. Our parish priest, Father Thomas, used this opportunity to reintroduce kneelers for those who want to receive communion kneeling. He cited the feast of. Brick by brick' moment. Again brought to mind our. Procession earlier this year and I thought it might be a good idea to post a few pictures.

Sunday, April 25, 2010. Love For the Roman Pontiff Must Be In Us A Delightful Passion. Inspiring words from St Josemaría Escrivá:. The supreme power of the Roman Pontiff and his infallibility, when he speaks ex cathedra, are not human inventions. They are based on the explicit foundational will of Christ. How foolish it is, then, to confront the government of the Pope with that of the bishops, or to reduce the validity of the pontifical Magisterium to the consent of the faithful! I'm sure anyone who read...

Monday, December 29, 2008. A Light in the Darkness. Some weeks ago I read the following from the Holy Father’s book,. God is Near Us. I had come across this passage quite by coincidence, as I was flicking through the pages, but they would become even more relevant later, as I will explain:. 8220;Even when Abraham was still on his way, and as yet knew nothing of the mystery of the ram, he was able to say to Isaac, with trust in his heart:. Labels: 12th Synod of Bishops. God is Near Us. Was asked if this p...
