Miss Poppins

Saturday, April 4, 2015. How to Teach Kids About Processing and Handling Their Emotions. First we had a Time Out chair. Then we nixed the idea of punishments altogether and began leaning towards effective gentle discipline- which led to the Calm Couch. And now we have this: The Safe Place. We call it the Safe Place because it's the one place in our house where our kids can go if they are dealing with difficult emotions and safely process them with the help of the visual and tangible aids I placed there.

Miss Poppins: Top 10 Best Children's Picture Books

http://professorpoppins.blogspot.com/2014/12/top-10-best-childrens-picture-books.html

Wednesday, December 10, 2014. Top 10 Best Children's Picture Books. I am an avid children's book collector and over the years have gathered quite the library as a result. I shop almost exclusively at thrift stores for said books because my love/need for new children's literature would break the bank if I had to pay full price. That being said, here are my top 10 favorite children's picture books that I discovered in 2014:. Interrupting Chicken by David Ezra Stein. PIGEON NEEDS A BATH. OOK WITH NO PICTURES.

Miss Poppins: Doctor Pretend Play Kit

http://professorpoppins.blogspot.com/2013/03/doctor-pretend-play-kit.html

Sunday, March 24, 2013. Doctor Pretend Play Kit. My oldest daughter's favorite form of pretend play right now is Doctor - Patient. At least once a day she calls "patients" into her "office" for check ups and physicals. Lucky for her she has 3 adoring fans/patients who all happily comply with various aches and pains, not to mention a multitude of stuffed animals all who need her tender love and care (and a prescription or two). Sidenote: I may or may not also be a bit OCD/perfectionist to the point where ...

Knit2Together: ...Year of Projects Update...

http://ktogether.blogspot.com/2013/01/year-of-projects-update.html

2012-2013 Year of Projects. Year of Projects Update. I have been doing a TON of knitting lately, but of course, not much from my Year of Projects list! We have had some terribly cold days in MN and I finally took the time to make myself an ear warmer! This was my first time working with Berroco Ultra Alpaca and I think I am hooked! January 19, 2013 at 2:33 PM. Love the ear warmer! I keep meaning to make myself a headband like that to keep my fringe out of my eyes in the gym. January 20, 2013 at 6:50 PM.

Knit2Together: September 2012

http://ktogether.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

2012-2013 Year of Projects. We had some more fun this week! I dug out the baby food jars and stuck a few prizes inside (cars, colored tags, etc) and let him open them. He had a really good time unscrewing the lids, taking out prizes, putting them back in and screwing the lids back on. He also liked to stack them! I picked up a few more craft items this week. Looking forward to putting them together for Aiden! Toddler Time: Guest Post! After I posted our fun on Tuesday. Toddler Time: Flour activity. My ki...

Knit2Together: ...Toddler Time...

http://ktogether.blogspot.com/2012/10/toddler-time_9.html

2012-2013 Year of Projects. I have been collecting lids from various containers the past month (it's amazing how many lids that is! And started creating a Lid Bucket for A. Today was a great day to introduce it to him. He loved them! He likes to put the smaller ones in larger ones and put them back in the bucket. An easy activity for sure! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Life at the Lichter's gives you a glimpse into our everyday lives, our experiences, travels, and maybe a little knitting :).

Knit2Together: ...Toddler Time...

http://ktogether.blogspot.com/2012/10/toddler-time.html

2012-2013 Year of Projects. A is switching to one nap a day and there is a time before lunch when he starts to fuss and get bored. That is when we try a new activity that is low prep! Today we threw pillows on the floor. Does it get any easier? His favorite was being "pushed" into the pillows :) There were lots of giggles and energy used! I am loving trying out new activities with our lil guy! It keeps the day interesting and hopefully helps him learn! October 3, 2012 at 10:26 AM. View my complete profile.

Just another WordPress.com site. The Whole Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10ff) – children’s activity. August 23, 2015. Ephesians 6:10ff is the wonderful passage on the spiritual armor necessary for every biblical follower of Jesus Christ. For an excellent short sermon on this passage, I highly recommend Alistair Begg’s at https:/ www.truthforlife.org/resources/sermon/stand/. The components of the armor are as follows:. 1 belt of truth. 2 breastplate of righteousness. 3 shield of faith. 4 shoes of the gospel.
