Project: Kids in Cambodia!: The Countryside
http://projectkidsincambodia.blogspot.com/2010/03/countryside.html
Project: Kids in Cambodia! A friendly place to share photographs and my experience working with kids in Cambodia. Monday, March 1, 2010. As we entered into another field void of houses or people, the landscape and the music I was listening to became overwhelming and I actually started to tear up. What a beautiful country, with such amazing people, such gorgeous landscape, and yet such poor resources and little hope for a well deserved healthy lifestyle. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
Project: Kids in Cambodia!: Bye Bye Cambodia
http://projectkidsincambodia.blogspot.com/2010/03/bye-bye-cambodia.html
Project: Kids in Cambodia! A friendly place to share photographs and my experience working with kids in Cambodia. Sunday, March 7, 2010. I couldn't stop thinking about how lucky the NGO kids are to have been taken off the streets and how much this kid deserves to be saved as well. And, finally got a quick shot of the batmo-tuk-tuk. And now, I shall be waking up in Vietnam and then traveling to Sapa and Halong Bay. The blog may be on pause for a few days. March 9, 2010 at 8:19 PM. View my complete profile.

Project: Kids in Cambodia! A friendly place to share photographs and my experience working with kids in Cambodia. Saturday, March 13, 2010. And then we went to Laos. After the caves, we finally went to check out the 'tubing,' which turned out to be at the base of the first cave we explored. What a crazy place! Vang Vieng is a strange town. It pretty much just caters to the Western tourists with its weird water theme park and amazing caves. When we biked out of the main center area, we found more ...All i...

Project: Kids in Cambodia! A friendly place to share photographs and my experience working with kids in Cambodia. Sunday, February 28, 2010. A 10 Hour Trek and the Waterfall. We swung off a branch, Rambo-style, tripped over a couple twigs, noticed some gorgeous butterflies fluttering by and excitedly made our journey to the waterfall. We quickly jumped into the long awaited water and swam to the waterfall where we took a hundred photos with Tim's underwater camera and had the time of our lives. It wa...

Project: Kids in Cambodia! A friendly place to share photographs and my experience working with kids in Cambodia. Friday, March 5, 2010. The Last Day at Anjali and the Floating Villages. Tasted just like chicken - except, way more chewy.). We caught a gorgeous sunset on the water's horizon and headed back to town to catch the last evening with the volunteers. A huge group of us went for some dinner and then back to New Star for some crazy karaoke, which was a total blast! View my complete profile.

Project Kids Art
Where Does Your Money Go? Project Kids Art was created after my trip (About Me). To Siem Reap Cambodia in April, 2009. I was fortunate enough to find and volunteer for a wonderful grassroots residential orphana. Ge (Orphans Disable Arts Association) that was started by Leng Touch, an orphan himself. During my time there I was able to help set up a permanent exhibition of the children's paintings to give them an additional source of income for their basic needs. Donation From My Best Friend! Town/City: Ki...

Project: Kids in Cambodia!
Project: Kids in Cambodia! A friendly place to share photographs and my experience working with kids in Cambodia. Monday, March 15, 2010. As I sit here at the Siem Reap airport about to board to Phnom Penh, the travel time has dawned on me: I have a 5 hour layover in Phnom Penh, 20 hours of flight time and another 3 hour layover in Seoul. that puts me almost 30 hours to Paris. Bummer. Today was extremely hot. Much love, from Cambodia. Saturday, March 13, 2010. And then we went to Laos. We tooled around t...

Project Kidz Pak
Packages for Hurricane Katrina Kidz. Together with my friends, Sarah Vierra-Patron, Morgan Sanborn, and Rachael Barrett, we are sending packages to kids ages 3 to 16 with items like small travel games, small puzzles, books, magazines, notepads, crayons, coloring books, small stuffed animals. We would like to do what we can to give these kids a little something to do. The goal is to send at least 1,000 packages. So far the response has been very positive. Way to go, Danialle! Or call (517) 544-0611.
