I hate you, milkman dan. Sunday, January 29, 2006:. I just recieved a speeding fine. 102km/h in a 60km/h zone. Well above the limit, yes. Fair cop? I have always believed that speed is limited in the interest of appropriateness. 100km/h is appropriate on a road designed for it. Open, wide, smooth, gentle curves in place of sharp corners. 50km/h is more appropriate for a tight, winding suburban street. A little more of the story . . . So there is the problem. Discussing the SafeSpeed campaign in the UK.

::knowhere::: maxwell test render

http://www.projectmajendie.blogspot.com/2005/10/maxwell-test-render.html

I hate you, milkman dan. Saturday, October 08, 2005:. Here is the first render i've managed to pull out of maxwell. mmmmmm. soooo tasty. The whacky thing about the renderer is that since it's so accurately representing a camera, you can't just fudge it with lighting and things. you have to get your shutter speed, film speed, f-stop, everything just right. Luckily for me, i have a professional photographer for a brother. Took me a bit of playing with the exposure to get this visible.

I hate you, milkman dan. Saturday, November 05, 2005:. I'm working on a coffee table design for my brother's lounge room. This is what i've been thinking about. Thinks majendie at 3:37 PM. Looks really nice, i think some things that could be important is how the glass meets the 'buildings', whether its flush up against, or otherwise. also if the blocks were movable then wouldnt the table be pretty unstable? Is amking them buildings intentional? Killer Monsters Eat Yak Head Laugh Hilariously Rudely.

::knowhere::: even more maxwell

http://www.projectmajendie.blogspot.com/2005/10/even-more-maxwell.html

I hate you, milkman dan. Sunday, October 09, 2005:. Graininess is noise from the render. the longer you render, the cleaner it gets. these two took about 2 hours each. Thinks majendie at 4:04 PM. Those renders are freaking awesome - i will definately have to test out maxwell, as soon as i am able to obtain a copy. Liam Viciously Attacks Animal Nudist Nursery. Even cooler thing about maxwell. To sleep, or not to sleep. that is the question. Another day, another redesign. Studies 4 - what happened?

I hate you, milkman dan. Saturday, October 08, 2005:. To sleep, or not to sleep. that is the question. Anyway, that's why this post is time-stamped at 0322hrs. groovy. In other news, i have a new toy. a fun new toy. it's called maxwell render. it's brilliant. truly brilliant. the kind of rendering engine that everyone has just been hanging out for, for as long as rendering engines have existed. This thing is brilliant. here's an example. Now how cool is that? Mmmmm i like new toys. A day in the life of &...

I hate you, milkman dan. Monday, January 01, 1990:. Isn't it interesting how you can change the time of your post to many, many years before blogger actually existed? I was hoping i could change it to before i was born, but unfortunately google's time-travel expertise doesn't stretch that far back. Thinks majendie at 12:00 AM. Design for the world. The unending confusion of watching a christina aguilera music video. How did i get here, sarah? My zen life with coffee. January 10, 2003. Look, there's god.
