What is Project Playback? We’re a group of high school students who visit a local nursing home a few times per week, providing musical therapy to residents using iPods. Specifically, we work with residents who have Alzheimer’s or dementia- although that is certainly not a requirement. Colby is a sophomore at Kennebunk High School. He plays both trombone and piano in a variety of music groups, and is a member of the school's Tri-M (Modern Music Masters) service organization. He is a member of many different ensembles,. Including the school wind ensemble and Portland Youth Wind Ensemble. Colby is also a successful student, and competes on the school's math team. In addition to music, Colby enjoys swimming, relaxing, and spending time with friends and family.
