Project IS300: Carputer screen ideas
http://projectis300.blogspot.com/2007/03/carputer-screen-ideas.html
A diary of events for my forthcoming Lexus IS300 project car. This is somewhere for me to keep track of my ideas and share them with others. Tuesday, 20 March 2007. I've been wondering about the wisdom of purchasing that double-. Screen with the built-in. DVD player. It's a neat solution, but I don't know who it's made by and the screen could be totally crap. It's also relatively expensive. Another option for the IS which someone else has done. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Project IS300: MVP shipment arrived
http://projectis300.blogspot.com/2007/03/mvp-order.html
A diary of events for my forthcoming Lexus IS300 project car. This is somewhere for me to keep track of my ideas and share them with others. Friday, 16 March 2007. I've got all my parts and they're all what I ordered and in one piece. The next thing I need is to buy the supercharger kit from Mike so that I've got all those parts. The mirror drive gauges look excellent - I can't wait to get those installed when the rest is done. That's something else I'll need, is a third gauge and the gauge pod.

Project IS300: Boring carputer stuff
http://projectis300.blogspot.com/2007/03/boring-carputer-stuff.html
A diary of events for my forthcoming Lexus IS300 project car. This is somewhere for me to keep track of my ideas and share them with others. Wednesday, 21 March 2007. On the rather dull note of making car PCs work the way you want them to, I've started investigating a few things;. Sychronising a mobile device with a wireless network. With the motherboards, I found a great article. The synchronisation option I've found after a light scour of the internet is the Windows built-in Synchronization Manager.

Project IS300: January 2007
http://projectis300.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
A diary of events for my forthcoming Lexus IS300 project car. This is somewhere for me to keep track of my ideas and share them with others. Tuesday, 30 January 2007. It's not absolutely necessary to have gauges in a boosted car, but it's generally accepted that if you're using a turbocharger or supercharger to add power then you at least need a boost gauge. Apart from anything else, if you get the right gauges and install them properly they help with your interior presentation. So what to do? Gauge Tony...

Project IS300: Twisted Vision
http://projectis300.blogspot.com/2007/03/twisted-vision.html
A diary of events for my forthcoming Lexus IS300 project car. This is somewhere for me to keep track of my ideas and share them with others. Tuesday, 6 March 2007. I've found another car workshop much like Carisma Automotive. But closer and probably cheaper. They're called Twisted Vision. And they're based in Gosport. They can do the chrome painting like Carisma, and they also do interior/installs/. And lots of custom bodystyling and painting, as you can see from this airbrushed bonnet. Since now a days ...

Project IS300: Exciting carputer stuff
http://projectis300.blogspot.com/2007/04/exciting-carputer-stuff.html
A diary of events for my forthcoming Lexus IS300 project car. This is somewhere for me to keep track of my ideas and share them with others. Wednesday, 11 April 2007. While on the topic of car PCs, I found that for a good screen that's visible in bright sunlight, mp3car.com sell one in their store with a 'transflective' coating which solves the problem of washed out colours and reflections from bright objects. Expensive though, at about $650. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Twisted Vision followup and MVP shipment. The meeting on Sunday at Twisted Vision. Anyway, the barbecue was very welcome and they Twisted Visionaries seem to know what they're doing and what they're talking about. A very nice little business that would certainly get my support. Project IS300: Centrafuse
http://projectis300.blogspot.com/2007/03/centrafuse.html
A diary of events for my forthcoming Lexus IS300 project car. This is somewhere for me to keep track of my ideas and share them with others. Saturday, 10 March 2007. I've been following the development of some car PC software for a couple of years. As the market grows, more effort is clearly being put into this stuff. I'm a member of the Digital Car forum. Where two of the moderators have been programming some software called AIMEE. But from that forum I also found out about Centrafuse. I've also been lo...
