Google Fiber TV and TiVo. Which is Googles insanely fast gigabit network recently announced theyre potentially expanding to a few more markets. I have a friend in Kansas City that got connected to it last Summer and he says the speed is really incredible, with no delays on streaming HD video instantly from almost any site. . The Verge published a hands-on with the hardware. My first question was whether or not Google Fiber TV supports the CableCARD standard, so I can continue using my Roamio if I were to...

Sunday, July 31, 2005. Hannspree's idea of "in style" TV. This site has moved to AVReport.com. Taiwan's Hannspree is about to release to the wild a designer collection of LCD TV sets. Yup, you heard it right, the "designer" collection. Public can appreciate anything from Elephant to Soccer ball ornaments. I kinda like the french fries incarnation. And don't forget the ketchup - that's the remote! Want specs, anyone? Okay, who cares! Posted by Mike at 9:48 PM. Friday, July 29, 2005. Have yet to hear a sto...

The Court: A Quantum Leap
http://skippus.blogspot.com/2005/08/quantum-leap.html
Ramblings of a tired mind. Wednesday, August 10, 2005. Today, I was reading a site about a new product called promise.tv. It sounds pretty cool. What it does is record every channel that's broadcast (at least, all broadcast channels in the UK) for a solid week. Why? So that if you forgot a show was on that you wanted to watch a couple of days ago, you could still tune it in. But I gotta say, I loathe the phrase " quantum leap. Why does it bother me so much? Was still a hellova cool show.

Social Sim: March 2006
http://socialsim.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 28, 2006. Event: Technology 2.0. A belated transcription of my notes from last Thursday's InSync event in London. Already there are flickrs. About it. So remiss! In summary, a very enjoyable evening, one which I appreciated more than the last one as the topic actually dealt with innovations in technology rather than a nod to interaction amid a disproportionate amount of bumph about advertising. To go to America this year. Speakers included: Nic and Dom Ludlum from Promise.tv. With their bo...

Ramblings of a tired mind. Monday, August 22, 2005. Anonymous Comments are Back! This post is an update to an earlier comment. I made upon the blog being vandalized. Blogspot, the home of my ramblings, has added a feature called "comment verification." Basically, if you want to add a comment, you now have to type in a word to verify that you are not a machine vandalizing someones blog. Thanks for your patience while this was hammered out!
