Borrowing Policy

Your student card is your library card. You MUST have your student card to borrow an item(s). You can borrow a maximum of 5 items at any one time. Items are loaned for either 1 or 2 weeks. Items can be renewed before the due date by email, phone or online except if they have been reserved or are overdue. Contact details can be found on the date label. You can renew an item a maximum of five times. The item must be returned at this point and if no other user requires it then it can be re-issued.

How do you borrow items? Simply take your item/s along with your student card to the front desk in the LRC. A member of the LRC team will then issue your item/s and stamp a date in each to remind you of the date when the item is due back by. How many items can I take out? You can use your mobile phone to text in the LRc but please go to Reception to make or take calls. Only BOTTLED WATER may be consumed in the LRC, all other food and drink is not allowed. Working groups are asked to keep noise levels to a minimum. The LRC is not a social area. Any students using it as such and disturbing others will be asked to leave. Printing, Scanning, Photocopying. The LRC has 2 black and white printers. There is no costs for printing in black and white There is print control in operation and you can only print a maximum of 5 pages and 1 copies at one time. The LRC has a colour printer that costs 20p per side. There is no print limit but we ask you to be environmentally aware and print out only what you require. The LRC has 11 scanners.
