Tree Shadows | Peter R White's Blog
https://prwthepoet.wordpress.com/tree-shadows
Peter R White's Blog. One thing is clear: the mood shows through, but not. In terms sufficient to express the sentiments. That guide her lonely figure past the shadows on the wall;. Light nuances, which fix the mix of pigments. On the palette, conduct the brush simply to hint. What thoughts exist within her tiny silhouette. Time after time she entices me back: to shift perspective. Forward, follow the four-wheeled cart which left its lines. Along the lane as it passed into a future since forgotten;.
Tea and empathy | Peter R White's Blog
https://prwthepoet.wordpress.com/tea-and-empathy
Peter R White's Blog. Please sit a while and have some tea. The biscuit name is on the jar,. Can’t make it out but could it be. Tell me who you are. The biscuit name is on the jar;. I can’t remember what they’re called. You love me tell me who you are. Again I think I’m getting old. I can’t remember what they’re called,. Those girls remind me, what’s their names. I think I’m getting old,. Like these two silver picture frames. Those girls remind me, what’s their names? Do you have children of your own.
Suspended | Peter R White's Blog
https://prwthepoet.wordpress.com/suspended
Peter R White's Blog. It was just a hill with clouds. Above, inviting dreams of what. Might be or could have been,. But we saw other places there,. Where neither dared to go. Except in wisps of vapour:. Images formed by thermals. Warming the spirit,. Was that God returning the gaze. Interpreting fantasy as desire,. A testimony for judgement. Or merely my conscience. In a billow of wrinkled foil:. Of what I wished for. But could never realise? The valley’s flow meandered,. Sustained by soggy rivulets.
Lion at Rest | Peter R White's Blog
https://prwthepoet.wordpress.com/lion-at-rest
Peter R White's Blog. They made the vilest sounds you ever heard. In what should be a peaceful place to lie:. Three peacocks, and a foul-mouthed myna bird. Whose wayward language never once deterred. The screeching trio’s caterwauling cry. They made the vilest sounds you ever heard. In all your life you’ll have to take my word. And let me tell you gentlefolk how I,. Three peacocks and a foul-mouthed myna bird. Were penned adjacent here: I much preferred. To slumber but, no matter how I’d try,.
Never | Peter R White's Blog
https://prwthepoet.wordpress.com/i-could-never
Peter R White's Blog. I like to think. I can do some things well,. Especially when I sit down to write;. But I could never do a villanelle. Because it taxes every cerebral cell. To render both refrain and rhythm right. I like to think I can do some things well. Perhaps the sonnet’swhere I couldexcel. If that iambic metre weren’t so tight. But I could never do a villanelle. And when my novel’s finished, it might sell. Enough to make me famous overnight;. I like to think I can do some things well.
