A theory of corruption – The Young India
https://theyoungindia.wordpress.com/2014/02/25/a-theory-of-corruption
A theory of corruption. Corruption can never be eliminated. Absolute removal of corruption would require massive control on people, which itself is a form of corruption. Corruption is also an ode to Darwin’s theory of evolution. Hope is worse than corruption; making people hope for a corruption free society is worse corruption. A man siphoning funds from a company is not always a bigger crook than the filmmaker selling hope to people. Is nationalism then the counterpoint to corruption? A good leader need...

Mature Rating – The Young India
https://theyoungindia.wordpress.com/mature-rating
Certain stories in The Young India may not be suitable for people under the age of 16 mostly for the reason that they discuss sexuality. This age-limit for maturity may be different in different countries; say 18 or even 21. Take a call if you want to read the story (especially if you are underage). How other countries have reacted to ‘Swiss Black Money’ compared to India – The Young India
https://theyoungindia.wordpress.com/2013/01/27/how-other-countries-have-reacted-to-swiss-black-money-compared-to-india
How other countries have reacted to ‘Swiss Black Money’ compared to India. As always is the case with serious issues of national importance, the one relating to Indian money in Swiss banks has been forgotten and slipped under the carpet by the guilty and perhaps, by the media. What one gets to hear of the issue is that the government has signed an agreement with Swiss authorities by which they will not divulge details of the accounts held or operated prior to year 2011. While, some countries are taking p...

False intellectualisation of fear – The Young India
https://theyoungindia.wordpress.com/2014/01/30/false-intellectualisation-of-fear
False intellectualisation of fear. Do we not intellectualise despair? Take the sum total of our despair and attribute world events as causes? Simultaneously, do we not undermine the simplistic idea of chopping wood and making home? Intellectualisation is used as the weapon against despair. It is the ‘alive’ factor; it helps us beat depression and provides reasons to continue with existence. It does not necessarily kill despair, or make peace with it. This intellect is more excuse than reasoning. Despair ...

A Brief Note to Kamal Haasan – The Young India
https://theyoungindia.wordpress.com/2013/02/01/a-small-letter-to-kamal-haasan-2
A Brief Note to Kamal Haasan. No Sikh, Jain, Buddhist or any member of the Sanatana Dharma protested like this when you questioned/referred/mocked Hindu tenets in your various other films. Yet you say that India is not a secular state. I sincerely hope that your Muslim supporters, whom you are left addressing as ‘My Muslim brothers’ in almost every interview, will come out in the open, in public space, and support your cause. We don’t agree ideologically, but you are a great actor. February 1, 2013.

My admiration for Sunanda Pushkar – The Young India
https://theyoungindia.wordpress.com/2014/01/19/my-admiration-for-sunanda-pushkar
My admiration for Sunanda Pushkar. Was an Indian businesswoman and wife of a prominent politician. She was found dead on January 17, 2014 in her hotel room. I also earnestly hope that she was not the victim of a murderous or poisonous attack on her. I know how it feels when a loved relative is murdered. September 9, 2010 comes to my mind when a loved relative of mine was killed cold-bloodedly. I sincerely hope that Sunanda Pushkar was not murdered. January 19, 2014. January 31, 2016.
