Yadda, yadda, yadda. Upgrade to paid account! Monday, June 3rd, 2013. Tuesday we got a late start. An unexpected change from renting a vehicle to taking mine led me to getting an impromptu oil change. I also renewed my AAA membership before heading out. Picked up Kristen, and we were on the road mid-afternoon. The ferry ride was a mix of dull and fun. The weather was overcast, so the view was limited. Many pretty islands in the Georgian Bay! We got back on the road on Manatoulin Island and continued north.

Kayaking fun: puddlediving

I had to cancel my trip to the 1000 Islands area because there were no spots left for whitewater rafting. So I didn't get to sleep in the lighthouse. At least it gave me the time to finish my roof. I found out a friend with a kayak has a few days off, so we're going to go paddling together on Thursday. I've got a minor twinge of regret in buying the kayak, because now my computer is dead and I can't afford a new one. Good thing I can use Blythe's computer and my iPhone for most of my 'net access.

I was looking for something special for my 200th cache, and this was it! I had tried to find a few other challenging caches, but one had gone missing, and the other was up a tree I wasn't prepared to climb. I decided I would go kayaking today, and thought this would make a wonderful 200th. I made it past the barrier with less difficulty than I expected. Then I paddled into the lily pads! Less than 10 posts all year long? I used to blog a lot. I guess I got out of the habit. I had a conversation with a friend yesterday, and we were trying to figure out how long we'd known each other. I assumed I had blogged about meeting her, and I was right. October 2005. It feels like I've known her a heck of a lot longer! I got Blythe to go out geocaching this afternoon. I wanted to get some practice in before the trip. I want to try to find a cache in each state between here and Kansas. I belong to a group of people who play boardgames at a restaurant twice weekly. Tonight we had fairly poor service at our regular restaurant, and weren't allow to use the table we had reserved. (The only table large enough to accomodate some of our games.) Does anyone have any suggestions for another venue where we could play boardgames? Food and drink available.
