http://heartofliving.blogspot.com/2009/05/first-presbyterian-16.html
The photography and thoughts of Nick David Wright. Thursday, May 7, 2009. First Presbyterian - 16. First Presbyterian Church in Independence, Kan. View On Black. It seems that I wasn't being quite fair to iPhoto the other day. I took a crappy shot. And couldn't make it what I wanted with iPhoto, but I could make it "better" with Photoshop. The other part of Mr. Weese's article. But the image of the church above I exposed "correctly." I spot metered from the sky setting it to just beneath the point wh...

Film Photo a Day. Film Photo a Day. Leaf Footed Bug 2016. Posted on Apr 4, 2016 by mark. Been a few months since I've made a stacked macro shot - so here's a portrait of a leaf footed bug that stumbled across my desk a few weeks ago. I spent far more time cleaning it than I care to admit, but it is still a bit dirty:. Pentax K-3, reverse mounted SMC K 24mm f3.5, approximately 4x lifesized. 59 combined exposures. Film Photo a Day. Film Photo a Day. Laquo; Meadowhawk on Wildflower. Posted on Jul 28, 2015 by mark. Cicada, Tibicen linnei. I would tentatively identify it as a male. The fact that there are only 10 species of cicada in Michigan helps make the id a little more easy. This image is only 1.4x lifesized. It was made with a Pentax K3, DFA 100mm macro lens and extension tube. This is 232 images compiled in 2 separate stacks and then blended together. This entry was posted by mark. An up close image of a Japanese Beetle -. These iridescent beetles love to much on almost anything that grows in your garden, and with the absence of any natural predators in North America, they are indeed a destructive pest. Heart of Living: Gimmicks
http://heartofliving.blogspot.com/2009/05/gimmicks.html
The photography and thoughts of Nick David Wright. Thursday, May 14, 2009. I am so sick of photographic gimmicks. And it seems that the only way to get ahead in this business right now is to make use of them. Contest winners in recent years are often gimmicky. Clients want the certain special looks which an artist creates then everyone copies. Stunning works of art. 160; or whatever they are. Are a prime example. Posted by Nick David Wright.
