Pugwash sits on the dividing line between two fishing areas; therefore, it is the only place on Northumberland Strait with two seasons - May and June then again mid-August to mid-October. A number of boats fish out of Pugwash. Each boat carries a maximum of 300 traps. These item can be redeemed at local recycling depot for half the original deposit. You may choose to have the depot donate the proceeds to a variety of local charities and non-profit groups. Solid Waste and Recycling. Garbage/compost and recycling are picked up on alternate Tuesdays. Garbage must be in a clear bag.
