language learning: Freestyle Slalom Skating
http://kalinka82.blogspot.com/2007/04/freestyle-slalom-skating.html
Mainly this blog's aim is to improve my English by basically recording what, how and how much I'm doing for my English. Also it should serve as a collection of my favorite and most useful links that a language learner by all means needs. F that, done it yourself or seen some professionals doing that? If you have no idea how. Slalom skating looks like you can check out some videos here ( 1. G) until I rediscovered my passion for skatin. Holidays I spent much time practicing along the Danube in. Just go ou...

Or their own stud. Though I’m a “loner” with studyi. Uages on my floor you wouldn’t believe how many. Our different branches of studies have. So we’re all studying Martina and Karin. On the wh...

English, English, English: Ne paruski?
http://birgitsenglishblog.blogspot.com/2007/06/ne-paruski.html
English, English, English. Saturday, June 9, 2007. Yesterday, I read an interesting article in the Kleine Zeitung, written by Alexander Widner for his column "Letters from New York". In the article, he talks about his experiences with American Russians. That's what you're asked if you don't know Russian there. It's no life in affluence but it's secure. And it hasn't always been. I wanted, at least once in my life, live unmolested, without all this anti-Semitic crap that is still alive in Russia&#...That'...

English, English, English. Friday, June 1, 2007. Expat Interview with Thomas. Finally, here it is: My interview with Thomas who left the UK for Germany. When did you go to Germany, and why? I came to Germany in September 2000, having been offered work by a company after graduating university. What do you like about living in Germany, and what was easier or better in your home country? If you had to compare Germany and Great Britain: What would you say is similar in both countries and what is different?

English, English, English: April 2007
http://birgitsenglishblog.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
English, English, English. Monday, April 23, 2007. Today, my last years boss called me and asked me whether I wanted to work at the Eurofuturecup. I've never seen 8 or 9 year old boys with such good manners. And furthermore, they were just sooooooo cute! My job basically was to help them whenever there were problems, especially when there were language-barriers. Although there were a lot of other problems as well, i.e. when the bus left without the boys,. Or when there was no food prepared for them.

Carrot-top, ginger-nut, Ronald McDonald, Queen Elisabeth…there are many names you can call a read-haired. But is calling redheaded people names really as serious as racism? I just read an article by Finlo Rohrer in the online BBC News Magazine. Red-haired journalist Sharon Jaffa, suffering anti-red hair abuse herself, claims th...
