The idea is that you pay a monthly fee and each month they send you some fancy yarn, a matching pattern and a couple goodies. I figured that when knitting I tend to keep inside my 'safety zone' when picking out patterns and my 'cheap wallet' when choosing yarn - so why not give this a try for something new. I picked the Intermediate/Advanced box and was not disappointed in what they sent me this month.

Wednesday, January 1, 2014. Purple and Sparkly for Marley. I love how this hat turned out, however this was not my favourite to knit. Something about the brim bothered me. Not sure if it was the provisional cast on, the dark yarn, or the small needles. Maybe even a combination of all of them. It was a good hat to watch tv or the kids with as the pattern was extremely easy to follow and well written. Pattern can be found on Ravelry. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sunday, January 27, 2013. On Boxing Day when most people are either relaxing from a busy Christmas or out shopping for the latest deals, I force my family out to Lowe's for wood. Okay, so we did a little Boxing Day shopping:. Note Snoopy and how happy Cam is about it. They aren't even bothered - squish up! Party time is over, folks. We've got days off between Christmas and New Year's - let's get to work. Before: As you can see, it's a good amount of space, but that's all it was - space. It was very easy.

Sunday, December 29, 2013. Summer at the Beach. Yes, I know that it's December. I was going through my pictures this past week and decided I need to make a few catch up posts. I took the girls to the beach more this summer than I have in at least 5 years put together. They just loved it so much that I couldn't say no. The girls also wanted my mom to come most of the time as well. It was really cute, I would be almost ready to go and one of them would say "What about Grandma? To come with us".
