Parenting with NVC Opportunity- Help needed! December 21, 2008. Hello friends and parents,. I need your input on an upcoming opportunity. Listening to conversations out there I’ve heard an interest in ways to deepen relationships with our children and to deal with the times it is difficult to connect with our kids. Kristin is a parent herself, a good listener, knowledgable on the subject of non-violent communication, and uses real life examples of those in the class to work through situations. Children w...

ellie's madre: June 2010
http://elliesmadre.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 09, 2010. Boys will be girls and girls will be boys. When I was little, I had long "pretty" hair that curled at the ends. I remember being told what a pretty little girl I was. My grandmother took me to a beauty salon to get my haircut one summer. I want to say it was 1st or 2nd grade. I don't remember why she took me, maybe I was tired of long hair? What am I really trying to protect her from? By pausing, am I telling her that short hair isn't pretty? Links to this post. Live with intent...

Sunday, August 16, 2009. My letter about Eleanor. I wrote this for my blessing today. I wrote it to honor my relationship with my daughter Eleanor. Of course I cried throughout reading most of it. She is an awesome girl and I am lucky that she is my daughter. I wonder who she will become as she grows up, how she will love, what will excite her. What will her profession be, will she go away to school. I am already so proud of the person she is. I know that will only grow as she gets older, no ...Live with...

http://mamachiro.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 10, 2010. My sweet Noah bear. It has been an exciting summer! And there’s nothing “terrible” about it.) You are as sweet and silly and smart and fearless and snuggly as ever. You are still in constant motion until you fall asleep, and you’re talking like crazy. The complete sentences exploded and you are pretty darn clear with your needs and wishes. Months ago you learned to say “don’t. To”, and learned to make many sentences out of that. “Don’t. To, clean diaper”, “don’t. 8221; or “...

ellie's madre: Day 2
http://elliesmadre.blogspot.com/2010/10/day-2.html
Sunday, October 31, 2010. We are done with pregnancy and peeing on sticks around here. We are moving on to the next phase of parenting, with school and family trips and activities. And I am okay with that. I am hoping that I can start to see my period in a different way eventually. I don't want to fall into this place everytime I see blood. I feel like I am on the verge of something great and life-changing. Have you ever felt that way? I'm not nervous, I'm excited. 8220;Live with intention. Walk to t...

Sunday, January 25, 2009. In other big news, you finally cut your first tooth on Friday. I noticed it in the car as we drove home from Pam’s. You’re crawling over to me and looking ready to nurse. I’ll write more soon. I love you more than you’ll ever know! Thursday, January 8, 2009. 6 (and a half) months. Mr Noah, my snuggle bear. You’ve got some serious skills, dude! You are completely crawling already. Crossing rooms. But that’s not all. You are pulling yourself up to a stand! I wish I could capture e...
