The Dadman Diaries: Stephen Brown
http://thedadmandiaries.blogspot.com/2016/02/stephen-brown.html
Sunday, February 21, 2016. I went through a box of pictures, letters and memories tonight that I have not gone through in years. Maybe decades. You wouldn't believe some of the silly, really silly and touching memories I found. And then I found this picture of my boots. Big smile. This picture brought back a really fun memory spent with Steve Brown. Me neither. But for some silly reason we thought of it, and we did it. We drove up Highway 80 in his restored '69 (? Music cranked, all kinds of snacks.

The Dadman Diaries: February 2009
http://thedadmandiaries.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 23, 2009. Yardwork. Mowing the lawn. A Robin in the grass. We dig up an earthworm. David quietly puts the earthworm near the Robin. David sits on my lap and waits. The Robin sits on the fence and also waits. A big Robin. Big white rings around his eyes. All alone. It is quiet. Sunny. The smell of fresh cut grass. David sits quietly. Anticipating. We whisper. Maybe he is an old Robin? The Robin hops down off the fence. The Robin pecks. And picks. And eats the earthworm. We sit and watch.

http://thedadmandiaries.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2008. It's New Year's Eve. The economy sucks. Job security means job. Security. Money sucks. We have lots of questions about our future. We have lots of questions about our ability to be really good parents during these times. We question our marriage. We question our choice to live warmly down here and not. 1 Eat Better and Drink Less. 2 Return to Church. 3 Vitamin C, a strong combo of B-Vitamins and St. Johns Wort. 4 Inventory our Finances and Develop a Budget. Saturday, November 12, 2016. My title is Estimator. That sound you hear is me landing on my feet, hitting the ground with both feet running. My experience bodes well. What I am learning… is Amazing. For instance, yesterday I helped finish a budgetary quote for an exterior sign project worth over $700K. Crazy cool for a sign guy. November 12, 2016 at 6:23 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Wednesday, November 16, 2016. We talked about the whole 70 year moon proximity thing. I asked them when in another 70 years, when I am long gone, would you remember tonight? Matthew (Age 8): I'll be 78. Maybe. David (Age 12): I'll be 7012. How old is that? That sound you heard was a particular Dad shaking his head and sighing deeply. Im sure it became a wonderful teaching moment.possibly for you.possibly for them. Ive been mooned more in the last week than ever in my 71 years.or is that 78. Pirates Past ...

The Dadman Diaries: Cupid's Arrow
http://thedadmandiaries.blogspot.com/2016/02/cupids-arrow.html
Sunday, February 14, 2016. What if ever a finger was waggled in my face and I was pushed into a cactus and screamed at, "You there! With that terrified look about your face! What do you love about me? What, oh dear Lord, would come out of my mouth? Immediately flashing before my eyes would be her radiant glow, her sweet perfect skin; her pinky finger that looks so much like my Grammy's that I knew we were destined to be together, or maybe it would be her North Grovernordale innocence. OK Let's be honest&...

The Dadman Diaries: November 2008
http://thedadmandiaries.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 29, 2008. Evenings are tough. We get home, and it's meltdown time. Not David, but. Then it's supper time. And David wants cake for supper and 4 cups of juice, sixteen straws and one bottle of water. The TV volume is maxed out on Fox News and I can't hear David yelling for "Little Bear! As he is filling his 4 cups of juice with the bottle of water and looking around the living room from the corners of his eyes.as plastic farm animals are floating toward the door. Nah, Michele's home now.

Tuesday, February 9, 2016. Pretty proud of this humble kid. Matthew was chosen The Student of the Month. I thought it might of been for his class, or maybe 2nd Grade, but no!
