Saturday, November 26, 2011. Mackenzie's birthday often gets celebrated in Ohio. This year was no different. She wanted to go ice skating and requested a hole poke cake. Grandma and Grandpa Dayton gave her a new trico. Blanket, pink with orange. Border and a hippo in the middle and ducks in the four corners. She was thrilled! She also got a new purse and a Ty. Baby hedge hog. It was a great 12 th. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Hurricane, Utah June 2009. Itty bitty skittle and the biggest cheeto ever.

Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Dayton has my sweet tooth. He loves treats! He is also pretty creative with his suggestions on the types of treat we should make. Saturday we made cupcakes and mini loaves and then piped a combination of coolwhip and vanilla pudding into the middle of each. Dayton got a little excited about the one he was saving for himself. We frosted them with chocolate frosting and I must admit, they were delightful! We will for sure make them again. Sunday, March 27, 2011. The Cat and the Rat.

Monday, January 31, 2011. Tuesday, January 18, 2011. We aren't exactly sure how Mackenzie managed to do this with her breakfast but she did. Her bowl was full of granola and milk and she flipped it completely over. SO she ate her breakfast off of the table. Dayton decided to build a domino-like track. We don't have any dominoes so the blocks were the best option. I love that he created the course and arranged all the parts just right. Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Thursday, January 6, 2011.

Wednesday, August 17, 2011. First Day of School 2011. You are one amazing kid and I am so honored to be your mom. Wednesday, August 10, 2011. We visited a Butterfly Garden and it was so cool to see the butterflies come down and land on the cue tips. Soaked in sugar water. Alexa was our butterfly magnet. She caught more than anyone. She was willing to share and made her siblings and cousins very happy. Sunday, August 7, 2011. Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Monday, August 1, 2011.

Just thought you should know that Jon can do this. (But not put clothes in the hamper, apparently.). Will you look at the face of that sweet child? She’s about eleven, and a special soul. Love participating in a baptism. Sam joined the choir this semester, and is hands-down the most enthusiastic member. He loves it. He has also grown several inches the past six months, which is fun to watch. (And the curves in his spine are stable, thank goodness.). Making meatloaf on a Sunday afternoon. May 5, 2013.

Thomas is 4 | liz

4 in January. Baby Thomas really isn’t my baby any longer. Sigh. Matt and I keep asking each other, were all of our four-year-olds like this? T has always been the sweetest little boy, and is universally loved. He is dangerously delightful and frequently has sugary treats in his hand he has charmed someone into giving him. (I’m trying to pack the kids in the car after a long day at a cub scout campout, and some kind person is putting marshmallows on his stick. That kind of thing.). At Mary’s birthd...

This summer, we camped. If I’m being honest, I’d probably rather do a fun hike or a picnic, and then come home and sleep in my own bed. I don’t mind so much sleeping in a tent. What I mind is packing the car with chairs, coolers, sleeping bags, and tents for seven people, and then coming home with the same stuff, only dirtier. The first trip, I realized I really had no idea what I was doing (e.g. What do I need for washing dishes? Where are all of the flashlights? Where to buy ice? Sam loves to hike and ...

Well 2013 was kind of a doozy. There was a morning in June, right in the middle, that just about exemplifies it. Kids started getting up, and within a five-minute period, two more things happened and I can’t for the life of me remember which came first. The ground started to shake, enough to wake the remaining sleepers in the house. And a mouse ran across my kitchen floor. I am a pretty calm person, but hello adrenaline! My heart was racing and I was more than a little awake. January 10, 2014. Wacky Tack...
