Is an IRC channel frequented by several members of the Manchester Linux User Group (ManLUG). Some time ago we started having regular socials, primarily aimed at ManLUG members but open to everyone, which tend to involve beer followed by curry and finished off with more beer. After trying various dates, we settled on the first Friday of every month and have been running 'Currybeer' (as the social has become known) ever since. Currybeer is run by Paul Waring.

Laquo; Initial thoughts for Nanowrimo. I haven’t posted about these for a while, so here is a reminder of the geek socials I’m running in Manchester this year. On the first Friday of each month we go for curry and beer in Rusholme. We start at the pub at 7pm and head for curry by 8pm, usually finishing around 9:30-10pm.
