Rags N Quilts: A finished top!

http://quiltingwithragdolls.blogspot.com/2009/08/finished-top.html

Friday, August 7, 2009. After quilting, this will go to my oldest granddaughter Kara and she will do the beading. I designed this specifically for quilting and beading. I just love how the batiks 'glow' on that purple background! So now it goes in the pile to be quilted one day.hopefully not too far away! I also (finally) finished up my postcards, so those will go in the mail tomorrow. Tonight we're taking our house guest out for dinner. We'll be trying a new crab house that just opened up in town. Allri...

Rags N Quilts: May 2009

http://quiltingwithragdolls.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

Friday, May 29, 2009. A long, long time ago in a galaxy far away.  Well a long time ago anyway, I participated in an inchie swap at MQR. The next step was to add the inches. I punched a 1/8" diameter hole in each one and pulled a piece of 1/4" wide organza ribbon thru the holes. Then hung them staggered over the top and secured them in the back with glue and staples into the stretcher bars.  They hang free on the front. So, can you find your inchie? I think it turned out to be a pretty cool piece of art.

Tuesday, March 31, 2009. I can't believe it's been this long since I've posted! 160;Well, had to get a new desktop.the laptop just wasn't cutting it for all the video editing and rendering for my classes.  Got a new state of the art quad core with 8 gb. Of memory, 750 gb. 160;and vista 64 bit.  Dedicated video memory too. This should cut my rendering time by 2/3's.  . So now I'm transferring. Applique.  I really. I'll be back on schedule here soon.  Have a great night! 160;And enjoy the last night of March.

Rags N Quilts: Better than Christmas!

http://quiltingwithragdolls.blogspot.com/2008/02/better-than-christmas.html

Friday, February 8, 2008. I have been meaning to get this for a LONG time, but as things go, I just never got around to ordering. Finally, last week I did. Why did I wait so long? For the past few years I have been using the Quilt E-Z templates.what a wonderful step up this will be! In addition to the basic unit; the templates I chose to start with are the spiral, starz ,tiles, and stella. My husband had it assembled in no time flat. Even got the stylus and my laser light changed over! They came really q...

Quilts, Farming, Birds and Life. Look who came to see us today:. I have been seeing this Common Flicker for several days, but today was the first time I got to photograph him. Our American Smoke is particularly beautiful this year. Yesterday, Steve’s brother came to help him move some farm implements and other crap. While he had help, I convinced Steve to get my 25 yr old couch out of this house. Steve wondered if a bear might want to sleep on the burn pile! He will light it when it isn’t so windy. Go ah...

MaryQuilts - Making Scrap Quilts From Stash: I'm a hermit

http://maryquilts.blogspot.com/2009/08/im-hermit.html

Thursday, August 20, 2009. Just had to get out for a while. Dinner and coffee and the rain held. Off so I didnt get wet. My natural inclination is to be a hermit also. I force myself to go against that! Im a hermit most of the time. I dont like the traffic anymore. I plan all my trips off the hill in sequence so that I dont have to spend anymore time in town doing errands than I have to. I didnt used to be this way- -but, I just love being at home! I do hope you enjoyed the hermit time.

MaryQuilts - Making Scrap Quilts From Stash: A finish

http://maryquilts.blogspot.com/2009/08/finish.html

Friday, August 14, 2009. Amid all the computer drama yesterday and today I did manage to make a few more diamond string blocks AND I finished binding and labeling this HeartStrings quilt. I love how this turned out, the looks of the grid, the fact it's really soft and cozy, and the striped binding was just perfect. I have more work to do but my brain is tired - I think I'm going to head to bed with my book. And I LOVE the binding! This is why I love your blog! You get so much done! What a wonderful quilt!

Quilts, Farming, Birds and Life. Finally, some decent shots of our Indigo Bunting. Purple Finch and Wilson’s Warbler. Yesterday, I got photos of a Purple Finch. And a Wilson’s Warbler. Another new-to-me bird. I saw this gray catbird all day today. I finally took my camera out and got a couple of pictures of it. It is always a thrill when I see a bird that I have never seen before. And an even bigger thrill when I am able to get pictures of it! The barn components were delivered. All the poles are up.

When yesterday is but a dim memory, this blog will remind me of the beauty of quilts and my friends in fabric. Sunday, 15 April 2012. Found that pesky file. Hereis an OLD embroidered quilt with fascinating lion fish. This was sewn about 10 years ago and I still drag it out for a class here and there! While on the embroidered theme, here is one for my GS at 3 years old, when he adored dinosaurs. And another from his 7th bday - no scary stuff now! Meanwhile, stay happy. Saturday, 14 April 2012.
