Quilty Mama

Monday, August 10, 2015. To see what others are working on go to Judy's blog here. On my wall is this. The pattern is the small version of Cindy Lou Who. From another BiTE OF SCHNiBBLES 23 quilts from 5" or 10" squares. I am using Honey Sweet by Moda charms packs with a Bella solid charm pack. This will be about 35 inches when finished. I may add another or a wider border to make it a little bigger for a baby quilt. I don't normally buy charm packs, but I loved this one. Monday, August 3, 2015. These are...

Quilty Mama: December 2013

http://quilty-cindy.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Tuesday, December 31, 2013. OK, I know today is Tuesday. I missed getting this up on Monday. I have a finish. Well, 2 finishes, actually. 2 T-shirt quilts for the sons of a co-worker. The sons are grown, but the parents wanted quilts made with their shirts from activities when the boys were growing up. I am working on another project, although it is too larger for my design wall. I have it draped on my quilt machine for now. Ha, like that will happen soon. :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Quilty Mama: September 2013

http://quilty-cindy.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

Monday, September 2, 2013. Wow, I can't believe it has been so long since my last post. School has started - and it has been hot, hot, hot. Four days last week our district dismiss 1 hour early due to the heat. I have been just beat by the time I get home so not much is happening as far as sewing or quilting is concerned. Other things I have worked on this past month are:. Bonnie Hunter's Leader and Ender Challenge for 2013 -. The first picture shows a block laid out on design boards. I made a pincushion...

Quilty Mama: March 2015

http://quilty-cindy.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Monday, March 23, 2015. On my wall this week. I started this quilt in August in anticipation of a great niece due the end of November. She arrived in early December and her quilt is still not finished. I had trouble deciding on certain fabric for the petals. I removed the print with the yellow and green. I thought it might work in the center. Then I had trouble deciding on the centers. I ended up using a mix of all of the options. Then I had trouble deciding on the cornerstones in the sashing. Still piec...

Quilty Mama: July 2014

http://quilty-cindy.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Being Tested on Tuesday. I love my son, but, boy does he drive me crazy! Or, he expects me to drop whatever I am doing, not matter what, and take care of whatever he wants or needs at that moment. And, he isn't shy about letting me know that he is unhappy about it if I don't. On a more positive note this is what I have been doing lately. I have added the piping to the blocks for In a Pickle. Made a paracord wrist band for my son. This is the Shark Jaw pattern. Monday, July 7, 2014.

Quilty doings

How it all happened. Sunday, 22 May 2016. Its been a busy six weeks since my last post, with the most ridiculously busy time at the day job, but today I finally sat down and put the binding on my "Spring's Whisper" quilt. It's only a little lap quilt, at 40 inches square, so it was quick to finish and will be easy to find a little home for somewhere. I used the fabrics in the ochre, grey and turquoise but they are also available in pink from Hawthorn Fabrics. Sunday, May 22, 2016. Sunday, 20 March 2016.

Thursday, May 21, 2015. Bloggers' Quilt Festival time (or.How do I write a blog post, again? Did you get what I did there? Alternate titles a la Rocky and Bulwinkle? Yeahit's been sooooo long since I've made a quilt and posted it that I forgot how to even post to my blog. This quilt is my latest project. It's for a new baby I'm related to but still haven't met. Originally, I was planning to do something kinda like this. I had made all the yellow squares 1/2 inch smaller than the other squares. So&#46...
