Doordat de zorgverzekeringswet gewijzigd is door de minister, is het al vanaf 2006 mogelijk om rechtstreeks naar de fysiotherapeut te gaan: Directe toegankelijkheid fysiotherapie (DTF). U heeft geen verwijsbriefje meer nodig om een afspraak te maken met de fysiotherapeut. De fysiotherapeut zal eerst een korte intake (screening) uitvoeren om te kijken of u met uw klachten fysiotherapie nodig heeft. Na de korte intake kan de fysiotherapeut:. Is een nieuwe behandelmethode van de fysiotherapeut. Door middel van een speciale techniek worden de spieren aangeprikt en raken op die manier snel en langdurig ontspannen. Hierbij wordt een ‘droge’ acupunctuur naald gebruikt en er wordt dus geen vloeistof in de spier gespoten. Gaat het erom zogenaamde ‘triggerpoints’ kort te stimuleren. Een triggerpoint is een verkrampt plekje in een spier dat naast lokale drukpijn ook vaak pijn ‘op afstand’ veroorzaakt. Hoe voelt dry needling.
