In 1932 he purchased the main farm of 160 acres from Bessie O’Conner. Karl married Ingeborg Salle on October 1, 1936. Ingeborg’s parents arrived from Germany in 1912, she was born in September 1915. Over looking the North Thompson River and with a spectacular view of Green and Baldy Mountain, the farm is home to Debbie and Karl Rainer. They run the farm with the help of their three sons, not to mention their three grandchildren.
